Day 38: Intercom, Noon

Jan 14, 2009 00:53

"Hello!" The Head Doctor called out cheerily just after he cleared out his voice. He thrummed his fingers against the top of his desk, as if he was impatient despite his light tone and words. "I'm happy to see so many patients have made so much progress during their therapy and I'm equally happy to say that we'll definitely be having a new batch of people coming in and keeping all of you company soon!

"But, right now, everyone's feeling a little hungry, hm? Well, for lunch, we'll be serving tacos and burritos; there are pre-made chicken, beef, or pork burritos which include rice, beans, and cheese, or you can make yourself your own taco with the same assorted meats, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, beans, rice.... you name it! We also have tortilla chips and assorted (non-spicy!) salsa available, along with our regular drinks and salad bar.

"I believe that's all for now - a man like me must eat too, you know! - so I bid you all farewell until the next shift."

The intercom clicked off.
