Nightshift 37: Staff Lounge

((From here.))Claude tried to move as silently as possible as he entered the room. Just like the pharmacy, he'd never been here before, so he wasn't entirely sure what to expect. He would have pulled out his flashlight, but since his hands were full from the sword and the bag of medicine, it was a little more difficult. Still, the blond didn't ( Read more... )

"Oh!" Leon fumbled with what he was already holding, returning his notebook to his labcoat pocket and pulling out his flashlight. "Here." He shone it in the direction he believed his friend wanted it in. It was possible Claude simply wanted him to hand it to him, though.

The mage wasn't sure what he expected to see, but it was still a pretty normal room. Tables, chairs... Oh, was that a cold food storage container? They'd had similar on Nede. He recognized a couple other devices as well, meaning there was a good chance that food of some sort could be prepared here.

"This look good?" he asked, not wanting to throw his weight around any more than he already had.

While his companions checked out the fridge, Leon took the opportunity to look around more of the room, hoping to find anything else the might be useful while they were there. There had to be something metal. A chair leg, part of the table... something that could be easily broken off. There had to be something else they could get out of a visit here besides juice.

He kept close to the other two, of course, on the very good chance that something did jump out at them. Sadly, none of the furniture seemed to offer anything, being mostly composed of wood. The decorators couldn't have thrown them a bone just this once?

"If it's carrot juice," he said suddenly as a bit of an afterthought, "we don't have to give it all to Ed,... right?" It wouldn't be, and their wouldn't likely be much to share even if it was, but it was worth asking.
