Without any hesitation Homura moved into the room, his eyes quickly scanning the area as best he could in the limited light. There were no changes immediately visible from the night before, save for the repaired door that led to the next room. In fact, by all appearances, it would seem that no one had been in this room at all. Homura could only hope that was true, since there was no way of knowing who else had keys to this area.
Nothing leaped out in an attempt to eat them, and Homura kept his sword at the ready as he moved next to the final door. The key went safely back into his pocket; so long as he had it, they could attempt this venture again. Yet despite this being true, Homura refused to rely on that for any sense of reassurance. He was the Toushin Taishi, and that meant each battlefield had one rule: victory, or death. Last night had been different, actions dictated by logic and sensibility. Tonight, however, they had numbers, and they had strength. Tonight Homura refused to walk away until they had won.
