She turned her flashlight beam up as high as it would go, looking around the room for the supplies she'd need. She let out a frustrated sigh. Jeez. Can't a girl get a needle and decent -- right. I'm supposed to be in a loony bin.
Shiki decided to go with what she could get, and work on getting the needle and scissors later. She could always use uniform shirts for the fabric. That decided, she took a few pairs of the blunt scissors, several spools of thread, and as many cotton balls as she could fit into the pillowcase. She'd take buttons off the coat in her closet if need be.
"All right, Ururu-chan. Let's go," she said, tying the pillowcase shut and grabbing her flashlight.

And he'd almost made it. Almost.
Ururu gasped just as Shiki said she was ready to go, watching Kurogane get touched, and watching him fall. And just as she knew would happen, she didn't wait on her friend; Ururu really didn't even know where Shiki was at that point. She was scared, for Kurogane and for Shiki, and for herself, because things were bad now. Kurogane was in pain and Ururu couldn't help them. The ghost was still there and they were in danger. And Ururu could try as hard as she was able, but she couldn't fight this enemy.
All she could do was go to Kurogane.
