"Adelheid Bernstein," the young man answered, shaking the lawyer's hand with his own- and in the process, no longer covering his eye. While it was still squinting and slightly inflamed, the more important thing was that there was definitely something off about the red orb...

His sister would surely scold him for acting anything less than an always-confident Bernstein at this rate. Of course, she'd likely have snarled at the man for prying into her dear brother's relaxation time, so perhaps it was best she wasn't there. No matter how badly Adel missed her and wished he hadn't parted on such bad terms...
No, he had to focus on the situation in front of him. Why was he always getting so distracted with those feelings of guilt? Maybe that had something to do with the spirit...? "I suppose that's something, then. A spirit brushed against me last night and I believe inflicted some kind of curse... though I'm afraid I've never experienced one like that before. I can't even begin to think of a way to get rid of it."
