Day 35: The Pet Supply Place

It was! There was an actual horse here! Senna had never seen one up close before. She ran up to the fence and stood on the lower rung, leaning over. She made a clicking noise with her tongue. "C'mere, girl," she called, trying to coax it over.
Its ear twitched as it kept eating the grass in the corral.
Senna sighed. It was like nothing was going to give her a break. Then it hit her. She dug into the brown bag she had held onto for the apple slices she'd seen earlier. Grinning triumphantly, she held her hand with the apple slice out as far as she could. It took only a minute for Senna to be rewarded. The mare padded over to gently lip the fruit from her hand. Delighted, she pet the animal. "Aw... you are pretty sweet, aren't you?"
