[from here]This was the first time Beatrix had gone to this half of the building at night. So far it looked the same as it's matching hallway on the other end

This being Donna's first night in the place, she too was over here for her first. It didn't look much different than the other side save for the missing lengths of hallways leading to rooms. Donna remembered what she could of the map, nodding to Arlene. "Not the type of Doctor I'm looking for," she muttered with a half-glance into the hallway, "And I'm not the best at gardening."
"Neither am I, but there are medicinal herbs in the greenhouse if you fancy making some poison," the Bride stated.
She'd meant to take Mion there the previous night after she'd acquired the knives but the Easy-Bake Oven monster had changed those plans. She still needed to take the girl there so she could teach her about them and their deadly uses. She wondered, with a small amount of amusement, when her apprentice realized what art she was being trained in.
"The doctors here are of the sadistic lot," she added on.
"I've not been assigned 'therapy' yet," Beatrix replied, turning toward the nearby stairwell. "But other prisoners have mentioned things like torture and sexual assault."
Brooklyn mind being in the lead now that it came down to it. He was pretty sure he remembered where the doctor's offices were. At the end of the hall here were two hallways. The offices were down one of them, and he was almost positive it was the first. So he stopped in front of it, glancing back to check on L even though he could hear the other man following him. (At this point, the creepiest thing about this situation was having someone that strange at his back the whole way.)
"This hall, I think." A look down it revealed several doorways with placards. Yeah, this was familiar.
"Sasuke." Sai actually snapped at the other ninja, dropping the usual honorific in the process. There was no need for him to be attacking Jiraiya, whether or not he'd been grabbed against his will. "I apologize for this, but we have other places to be and we could use your help. Fighting that wouldn't have helped anyone. You're being childish."
He stopped. They were reaching the halls that eventually led to the greenhouse. The choice to grab Sasuke might not have been the best one, but he thought at least Naruto would be pleased with the choice.
Jiraiya winced as he felt the nails dig into his skin, but his training kept on running. He wanted distance between them and that thing as quickly as possible. When they were safe, he tried not to look too relieved.
Speaking of childish, however, Jiraiya abruptly came to a halt and dropped Sasuke to the ground. Sasuke was lucky that Naruto liked him, or Jiraiya might have decided to do more than that. As it was, Jiraiya kept silent now fuming himself, and reached over to pull the nails out with a low sound.
Sasuke. He hadn't realised. But when Sai spoke his name he stilled (thankful that for now they seemed to be out of trouble monster wise), and then Jiraiya dropped him to the floor. The older man looked angry, and Naruto wasn't sure why. He hadn't seen the nails yet. He hadn't forgotten what had happened barely a day before, when he'd met Sasuke again, but now, that didn't seem to matter. He knew he was blind, and he'd just been fighting some sort of -- he couldn't use any other word for it than monster
( ... )
There was another small group of patients around, but that was no surprise by this point. True, Vlad wouldn't get first picks at anything, but it also meant he could let the larger monsters or any patients get drawn out by others so he could walk past. So long as I'm not walking alongside anyone actively glowing, at least.
He'd had a little fit discussion with Daniel in this hallway last night, hadn't he? Yes, there was definitely something to be said for traveling alone, even if it did add a bit to the danger of the situation. And he'd even made a friend earlier. It was a better night already, even if he didn't get everything he hoped.
Vlad wondered if Daniel had lost his flashlight again yet.

She almost kept from commenting about the sadism of the doctors mentioned, but curiosity got the better of her. "How sadistic?"

She nodded to the stairs. "Up we go."
