hereMuch emptier here. Didn't seem like anyone else had made it this far, yet. Leon turned on his flashlight and hurried up the stairs. Hopefully nothing too horrible would be hanging around on the second floor, though he wasn't about to hold his breath. There was Special Counseling tonight, and the odds were good that someone would be camped

Now it was a little more dicey. She turned on her flashlight again, since the halls were dark, and moved a little more slowly. Seiya didn't want to move too slowly and miss out again, but at the same time, rushing into even a weak monster in the dark could be disastrous.

The young vampire paused in the hall, keeping himself concealed in darkness and out of the way of any prying eyes (with aide from flashlights, of course). To the left, only three people, one of them being a) a female, and b) a female alone. But it was Rukia-chan, and Aidou felt he could afford being picky enough to reject her from possible blood donors that night. Her blood had never smelled all that appealing to him.
To the right, there were six more, but none of them were good choices, either. Although he'd been successful each time he'd done so, he didn't want to spend the time necessary to lurk around the female block and pick out a girl on her own. He'd been doing so much of his feeding on the first floor, perhaps he'd do better on the second floor, where he could go about his business and find somebody to eat.
Approaching the second stairwell, Aidou easily took the stairs two at a time. The sound of voices up top? So there were people already ahead of him. Hmm.

Sousuke moved up the stairwell behind Miku, watching for anything that would or could attack them from behind. He shined his flashlight on the steps ahead of Miku's feet, so she could see where she was going.
"Remember, if you hear or feel anything at all, let me know immediately."

Miku hurried up the stairs, and waited at the door. "I don't see anything, Sousuke."
She pushed open the door and looked out cautiously, before stepping into the hall.

Lia slackened her grip on her barriers as she set foot on the stairs. While she had little hope in her heart of detecting any of the beasts, she did expect she would be able to sense anger or fear from a distressed patient soon enough to avoid walking blind into a fight already in progress. And with the upward incline and the stubborn, clinging dark, she wanted any edge she could grasp. Lamenting the need for the hand light that rendered her quite visible in the dark, she slowed her pace enough to leave her footsteps silent as she climbed.

The stairwell seemed empty when Allelujah entered thankfully. He didn't want to get into a fight so early in the night. He stepped silently up the stairs, one hand to the wall instead of switching on the flashlight, feeling out each step carefully until he reached the top landing.
