The moment the doors unlocked, Peter was rushing out of his, suited up and flashlight in hand. He knew that it would do no good to panic, but he couldn't help it. The longer he had been forced to wait in that room on his own, the more he had thought about what they might be doing to Logan.

Simon thought he'd had strange days in the past. That time when they went to the town where Jayne was a hero- that was an odd day, one to make him question his own sanity but this - oh, this day just didn't seem to end. Nothing made sense, from the fact that he was what seemed to be a mental hospital to the strange announcements that came from someone who was the 'Head Doctor'. Being a doctor himself, Simon noticed many inconsistencies between the level of care he was being subjected to and what was the standard procedure on the Core planets. It was enough to make him nervous and anxious.

Then of course, there was the realization that he was nowhere near where he had fallen asleep the previous night. That in itself seemed improbable unless Mal was truly pulling a prank on him. Or maybe Jayne. Well, whoever was responsible, Simon was determined not to panic. There had to be a logical explanation for this and he would find out what it was.

He walked over to his door, opening it and peeking out to find that the hallway was completely black. What hospital didn't light it's corridors at night? It was another thing Simon made a mental note about as he moved back into his room. There was a flashlight on the desk and he took it, flicking it on and off experimentally. It seemed to be functioning well enough. Simon walked back over to his door and looked out, surprised that he didn't see any hospital personnel around. Well, if no one was waiting around to answer his questions he was just going to have to go out and find someone who knew what they were doing.
