There were a few options. One, someone had gone through the effort of transplanting hair (from where?) onto his head that looked like Silabus'; two ... Two he wouldn't resort to until he was absolutely sure of what was happening. Even if he assumed it was true, there had never been a map like this one. Judging from the time he'd been outside, it didn't have any boundaries either. No trademark landmarks of The World either. And what about those Atoli, Alkaid, and Haseo cosplayers he'd seen earlier?
How could he consider all the factors if new ones kept cropping up?
Silabus sighed, unable to find a suitable resolution to all this. Maybe before doing anything else he should find a mirror? Another look around the room confirmed that, no, there was no mirror around. He'd have to go for the next best thing. Honestly, he didn't want to bother anyone with this, but if he asked a small question maybe it wouldn't spawn into something larger.
... All right.
Standing, he walked over to where he'd seen the first patient sit down. At least this guy didn't look like he was a PC from The World.
"Hey," Silabus greeted, keeping up some form of a smile, "This might seem like a strange question, but," what distinguishing features could he rely on? Silabus didn't have many aside from his hair and clothes. "What color are my eyes?"

Wally had been contemplating the benefits of taking a nap in the sunlight - not that he was particularly tired, but more in the hope that it would somehow result in him waking to find the whole situation easier to deal with - when he was approached by a younger patient.
He'd noticed the kid a little earlier, acting like something was following him and then playing with his hair. It had been a little weird. One of the first obvious signs that some of the patients probably had good reasons for being here. Wally had done his best not to stare and let the kid have his space while he tried to work out his own thoughts, but now it looked like he didn't have much of a choice.
"Yeah, that is kinda strange," he agreed, but figured he might as well humour him. Wally leaned in closely and tilted the kid's head to catch the light a little better. "They're, uh, yellow? Gold? That's kinda odd. Are they contacts? Do they let you have contacts here?" He was tempted to ask if there was some other reason for the strange colour - magic or a side effect from having powers like Green Lantern's eyes - but it wasn't something that plain Wally West should really be asking. His encounters with Marcus and Kal had taught him to try and be a bit more careful at the very least.
"Does that help?"

For the most part he tried to stay still as he was inspected, although that didn't make the forced angle any less uncomfortable. He hadn't counted on it, but it did make sense. He'd probably be forced to tilt his head in similar angles when looking in a mirror anyway, and this way he had the confirmation of someone other than himself.
... confirmation he found he really didn't want. That was about the same color he'd made Silabus' eyes in The World. If his hair was the same and his eyes, it stood to reason that his face must have been similar as well. Vexed, Silabus put his hand to his chin and began thinking backwards.
"I don't really know," that was for the contacts part, which he considered a bit before dismissing the idea; he didn't feel like he was wearing them, so he probably wasn't. To his knowledge there wasn't any kind of surgery to change someone's eye color either (unless you counted transplants). "It seems like that would be kind of pointless, why would anyone want to wear contacts here?" Those kind anyway.
That wasn't the issue, the issue was how this was possible.
Silabus returned to looking at the other patient. "Yeah, thanks," he'd have to present a few more questions to be absolutely sure though, "Do you mind if I ask you anything else?"

"What do you mean, you don't know if they're contacts or not? Wouldn't you have had to put them in if they were?" he asked. He'd figured that it was unlikely that someone in an institute would be allowed to wear contacts, but he hadn't thought that the kid would be so clueless about his own eyes. It was weirding him out a little.
Wally shrugged at the question. The kid seemed harmless so far, if more than a little odd, and it wasn't as if he had anything else to do at the moment. "Sure, fire away," he said.
