[from dinner post]

... the doctor sounded tired. Shawn wasn't sure if he preferred that voice or the more youthful one in the second announcement but either way, he figured, this guy's still fucking nuts.Talk about Sci-Fi gone wrong. Gus would've loved this, even if Shawn knew the other wouldn't have been able to stop shaking in his slippers long ( Read more... )

Dinner was mostly uneventful, seeing as how Wolfram had collapsed onto the bed as soon as he was brought into the room, barely even acknowledging his roommate He curled up in the blankets and finally allowed the darkness to completely swallow his consciousness for a while. He didn’t even bother to taste the food, not even the ice cream, looking forward to the idea of just forgetting everything, if only for a few hours.

Part of his brain was worried about not being able to wake up again in time, so his sleep wasn’t as deep as he would have liked. But by the time the intercom made its first announcement, Wolfram was suddenly aware of things again, disoriented but awake. What he had caught of the first message that had woken him up was definitely strange sounding, at least stranger than what was normal. He sat up, leaning against the wall on his bed, drifting in and out of sleep until the second announcement occurred. Something strange was definitely going on, although he had no idea what it could be.

For now, he had to get to the entry way and soon. Aidou certainly wasn’t going to be able to say that he wasn’t up for the challenge of being able to keep up for the night - he would make sure of that. And perhaps the other boy would understand what the strange comment meant having been here longer.

But what to bring? Wolfram groggily pulled off his pillowcase as he’d seen John do the night before, and stuffed in his worthless radio, the extra set of batteries, and an extra shirt to be able to rip apart for bandaging if needed. The only problem would be carrying it; should he have to defend himself, whether or not he found a weapon, the makeshift bag could get in the way. He tucked it under his right arm, since he wanted to use his wrist as little as possible anyways, and if he needed to find a better solution later, he would. The flashlight was held in his hand, currently off as he reluctantly stepped back out into the darkness and down the dark corridor.
