He did know the way, but this was not a hallway he was used to traversing and that was reason enough to be more careful. The trip through it was quick enough though as he slipped into what was the only female block he was aware of. F3 wasn't far now

Here! So far, even with as little people around, everything looked okay for now. All there was to do was wait, but Ken was a reliable kid, there wasn't any need to worry about idling around for too long.
Leaning against the wall, Yukari kept a careful lookout for the boy, keeping her flashlight on to make herself easier to spot.

Oh, that was good. It made it so much easier for Trance to find her, too. Not that Trance was looking for her, except in a general sort of way. Or something like that. It was a Trance thing. Most obviously, the girl was standing still, which made her an easy target.
She wandered on up to the other girl without any real sense of urgency, calming looking around her surroundings. She hadn't taken the time the night before to really look around this area, so it was good to do it now. When she got within easy distance of the other, though, she stopped and smiled. "Hi."

Yukari looked up towards the voice greeting her, a puzzled expression on her face for the briefest of moments. Well, that was new; during the day it would be one thing, but by night, no one had ever actually come up to her in much of the same fashion. That's when everyone was much too busy going about their own ways.
"Uh, hi," Yukari replied, somewhat oddly. "Did you need something?"

"Um, well, you were just standing here, and I was walking by, and since you weren't with anyone and I'm not with anyone, I thought I should come say hello. So, hi!" Yeah, that didn't make sense to anyone but Trance. Not that most things made much sense to anyone but Trance. It was best just to go along with it.

Did she think she was by herself, though? "Oh," Yukari began, hands behind her back in her usual casual manner. "I'm supposed to be waiting for someone here." If being by herself out here was a worry, that is. "You're not just walking around alone, are you?"

Trance definitely didn't seem upset about anything at the moment, not their surroundings, certainly not being alone. She also didn't seem in any hurry to get anywhere other than exactly where she was. "I'm not really alone. There are a lot of people around. But you're waiting for someone? That sounds like fun. Who are you waiting for?"

"A friend of mine," Yukari answered, lifting her eyes down the hallway as she spoke. Of course, she saw nothing-- it was difficult to spot much of anything in the dark. "It really isn't as fun as it looks." That was definitely not a way she expected this to be described as.

"Oh." Trance's face fell a bit at the revelation that waiting was not, in actuality, fun. She almost immediately cheered up, though. "I'll wait with you, then."

After a short pause of consideration, Yukari continued, "Hey, once he gets here, you can come with us, too-- um, if you're up for it. We're just looking for some stuff to find, but I'd hate to ditch you." And an extra hand might be good, too, when she thought about it, but she didn't want to sound like they could use her simply for that. "Oh-- I'm Yukari, by the way."

Not, her tone implied, that last night wasn't fun. In fact, it was quite possible that she was the only one who considered the nights at Landel's to be no more or less unusual than the days. Outwardly, at least. But who knew what evils lurked in the mind of Trance?

Her finger was nearly starting to tease the switch of the flashlight in anticipation; C'mon, where are you? Needless to say, Yukari was starting to get into a rush. She didn't like wasting the time, especially when it meant it would be the cause of waiting another day to get what they needed.
"Say," Yukari started. "How well do you know where everything is, anyway?"

Right, which was a perfectly good explanation, right? Because lucky was obviously a good reason to go traipsing off following someone wandering through Landel's.
Then again, knowing some of the people in the institute, was it really such a bad reason, either?

The sigh Yukari made was small, but internally it was much larger than she let on. She couldn't blame Trance for not knowing much, it was a large and treacherous place to be able to do so easily. Besides, it wasn't like she was an expert on where everything was herself; they had pretty much been winging it by what sounded best all these nights. At least they located stuff that was a little helpful.
"Don't worry about it," she assured, catching Trance's expression. "A little exploring to find out more never hurt anyone, right?"
... Okay, considering where they were, maybe it did, but that was beside the point.

"We're trying to find wooden stuff," Yukari answered. "We found a table last night, but breaking apart that thing was more trouble than we really needed. So I guess we could look somewhere else." Thinking on it, she did have a place in mind... "I just need a little more before I have enough, I think."

But trees were wood, and as much as it hurt Trance to suggest hurting a living thing, where there were live trees, there were always fallen branches and things. "What about outside?"
