Reaching the wide corridor that stretched the length of the institute, Claire paused and glanced around. There were a few people scattered here and there, but none that she immediately recognized, and her dad wasn't among them. Seeing this, she moved towards the center of the hallway, stepping off to one side and leaning against one of the walls to wait for him. She knew he'd be along sooner or later.

Finally, he had arrived, only to see that Claire was already present. Similar to when he had first seen her during breakfast, Noah was relieved to see that she was doing okay, even if it was early in the night. After taking a deep breath, Bennet walked up her with his flashlight still in hand and said, "Hello, honey. I haven't kept you waiting long, have I?"

Claire looked up at the sound of his familiar voice, a smile brightening her expression, visible in the glow of her flashlight. "Hi, dad," she answered, stepping quickly towards him to wrap her arms around his waist. It was surprising how just that much made her feel much safer, even in this place.

"No, I only just got here a minute or two ago."

"Ah, that's good." He placed a hand over his hand, with the other kept around her back. "Do you have any idea of where you want to go tonight?" Given that Claire had been there longer, it was possible that she was more familiar with the area than he was.

He was asking her? Claire glanced up in surprise for a moment, then looked serious as she thought intently for a moment.

"I think we should try and find out more about this place, right? I know there's doctor's offices on this floor, but there might be something more useful upstairs? I'm not really sure, but we're not taken up there during the day at all, or at least we haven't been so far..."

She trailed off uncertainly, chewing on her lower lip. "Unless you want to just try and go?" she amended. "The intercom seemed to have some weird sort of message about that tonight."

Upstairs... Yes, none of their activities for the past two days involved going up to the second floor. As a result, he had grown increasingly curious about what the rooms there held. He hoped that they contained anything useful enough to warrant the trip in the first place. The maps he had brought along contained information about the second floor as well, so they wouldn't be traveling completely in the dark, so to speak.

"Alright, let's go check it out."

"This is the way Clark and I went up last night," she replied with a nod, lifting a hand and motioning for him to follow her as she headed for the stairwell.
