Haku firmly pulled the happy, childish mask on. He would not allow this man to be stronger than he was. He could not. He smiled and 'listened' to the nurse as she chatted, telling him how well-behaved he was being and how lucky he was to have sucha nice doctor like Dr. Muraki, instead of one of the others. He didn't know anything about this 'House' person but apparently he was horrible.
Door opened, patient firmly pushed inside, door shut. That was ... sudden.
He smiled shyly at the pale man, bowing his head slightly. "Good afternoon doctor." He would just smile, nod, and get through this.
Moving to take a seat, he looked curiously at Muraki. "Disappointed? Wht would I be disappointed?" Haku wondered what the 'doctor' knew and if he, perhaps knew something related to Zabuza-san'sdisappearence.
"Oh, no, no." Haku smiled again, reaching up to tuck his hair behind his ear. The scars over his eye had faded until only the largest, deepest one had remained, crossing down over the center. The other injuries he had were gone, though he abstently wondered if they would return come nightfall.
"I'm fine, but thank you anyway." He bowed his head. "And I have been very well, thank you. There have been no fights, and I'm making a lot of new friends too. How have you been Doctor?"
Muraki looked at the faint scars and smiled. "Ah, you're looking much better too."
"I'm...The same as ever, I suppose. Some vermin seem to have gotten into my office, but the surprises I left will take care of them eventually." Muraki shrugged, dismissing the importance of said vermin. "But your friends, why don't you tell me about them?"
Haku ducked his head, pretending to be pleaased at the comment about his apperance.
"I... I'm not sure on the names of them," he said slowly. "They give me one name and the nurses another so I'm not sure which to use." He looked up, a slightly embarrassed smile on his face. "I suppose that's kind of like me, right? Everyone's confused."
Interesting that he didn't make anything up. Muraki hadn't asked for the names deliberately.
"Yes, that's easy to understand." He replied, apparently oblivious to the slip. "I wish I could help. I know your uncle's name..it was Fortune, wasn't it? The given name I don't remember. And your roommate..Sean? Or is it Artemis to you?"
At the mention of his 'Uncle', Haku was mortified to feel the blood leave his face, though he managed to keep the rest of his outward reactions to that to a minimum.
"Yes, he's my roommate and my best friend here. Mrs. Hedgerow calls him Sean and asked that I do the same. So, when I remember, I call him Sean."
Was Christopher looking a little bit paler? "I hope he doesn't fault you for that, but since you call him your best friend I assume it's alright. In the long run, that sort of thing will help both of you recover...unlike your uncle."
"Oh no. He doesn't mind. He does the same for me." Haku tried a sfot laugh behind his hand. "It's strange to be called Chris, but since it's supposed to be my name..." He trailed off and shrugged. "I should get used to it."
The doctor didn't believe it. He never had. "Oh, it's nothing to worry about. You can keep it as long as you like. I'm in the process of replacing it with something a little more lively."

He wouldn't outright answer a question like that.

Be even better if you would stop mentioning my Master, he thought.

"I do? I didn't think it belonged to you." He would play out the innocent act as long as possible.
