So the nurse had smiled and bustled over at Alkaid after breakfast, and said it was her turn to go to the greenhouse. In fact, it was all the ladies' turn at the greenhouse, and that people were heading there right now.
Which made Alkaid blanch. Like hell she was going to stand around potting plants for an hour or more. She didn't feel very up to

No chance for a nap during breakfast, Hitsugaya opted out for the scheduled activities, favoring the comfortable couches of the sun room instead. There would be time for a nap before his meeting with Matsumoto, at the very least.

Momo stopped next to the couch Hitsugaya was lounging on and just looked down at him for a moment, an affectionate smile on her face. A few heartbeats later and she sighed, just wishing she could curl up against him and be safe, but no one, not even Hitsugaya, could keep her from her own demons. Fighting Signum last night, especially drawing the knight's blood, greatly bothered her. She wanted to talk about it to Hitsugaya, but she knew he'd be able to tell she was pretty injured, with the cast and the way she was holding her other hand to the gash across her torso. He'd probably get angry... at Signum.
Gingerly sitting down on the couch next to Hitsugaya, Momo looked over at the captain. "Hey... Shiro-chan..."

It was then that he opened his eyes, and saw the state she was in. Whatever the hell went after her, it had done a decent work of roughing her up yet again. For every wound Landel inflicted on her, he'd make him pay double. "What the....what the hell did they do to you?"

"They didn't do anything," she replied quietly. "It was Special Counseling."
Taking her hand from her front, she traced the patterns the plaster formed on her cast with a finger. "I..." She swallowed hard, finding her voice again. "I... disregarded your orders last night and modified the orders of another team in the process." She looked up at him, eyes glistening. "I'm sorry, Hitsugaya... but I had to."

Keeping an eye on the door, she wondered if Zachary had gotten her message in time.

Orihime would have liked to spend the morning potting plants and flowers. Maybe they would give her something to carry back to her room and decorate the place a bit. Unfortunately, going to the greenhouse meant being separated from the boys; if there was a chance of seeing Toboe during the day, she wanted to take it.
Rukia was here, but she looked like she was waiting for someone. Hitsugaya, too. She waved at them both before curling up on one of the couches facing the door. It still chilled her a bit to realize that he was just there one second and gone the next. She expected something, even a whisper or a scuffed footstep or something. She'd been so sure they were within arms reach of each other the whole time. She'd been trying to protect him.
She couldn't help but wonder about other friends who'd disappeared.

No thanks to a certain, stray cat of a friend.
"Good morning, Inoue-san,"

Realizing she'd been staring just a bit, she sat up a little straighter and scooched over so the older man had some room to sit. "I-I'm sorry we haven't talked in a while. How are you?"
Reply
"There is no need to apologize. It's to be expected in this place, Inoue-san, there's never much time for leisure here," he replied. "But I could not help but notice you sitting alone, may I ask why?"

Maybe it was just out of habit.
It wasn't like he had anything concrete to really say either, other than that he'd run into Goku again. And Hakkai?
Well, that was only one night where he was sure Hakkai (or his body) wasn't in the morgue.

"Hey," he said, moving to lean against the wall next to Sanzo, ever present grin on his face. "You wanted to talk?"

That was something else the priest couldn't stand about the roach, and Kenren: the complete inability to take things seriously.
"I hope I didn't interrupt your dicking around." Sanzo said icily. "It was about Goku and Hakkai."

He snorted at the insult, giving a little shrug. "Not like there's much to do during the day, and I'm not sure I'd call getting a decent katana dicking around," he replied mildly, just to annoy him by not getting riled up. "What about them?"

Momo had slept through breakfast, the shinigami realized when the intercom woke her up. Laying upon her back, she stared up at the ceiling as she replayed over the entire encounter with Signum the night before. Where had she gone wrong? Was there something else she could have done other than use hakufukuAt a loss as to the answers to those questions, Momo carefully sat up. Her torso was bandaged and moving was quite painful. The dressings were so thick,. the shinigami wasn't entirely sure how long the gash from Laevatein really was. Moving a hand to her front, she realized her broken wrist had been set and there was a neatly done white cast on it. She sighed, looking down at the cast. What a sad state she was in; Signum had beaten her soundly. She'd lost her katana in the fight as well... as some of her faith. The loss of faith wasn't in her friend, but in general. It was hard to look at everything she'd tried, including using Hayate's name, something no one else in Landel's knew about ( ... )

He made his way over to her as she stepped inside, resting one hand on the board. "Hi. Momo, right? We've met. Couple of nights ago. Could I talk-" He stopped, eyeing the hand on her stomach for a second. "Are you all right?"

Her thoughts were interrupted, though, when she heard a familiar voice. She looked up at the tall man... Angel his name was, yes, and gave him a small smile that never quite made it to her eyes. "I got into a very rough fight last night and came out on the wrong end of a sword," she told him. "I shall heal. What did you wish to speak about, Angel-san?"

He glanced at her. "It struck me as a little curious as to where your supply is coming from."
Curious meaning concerning.
