Guy let out a sigh of relief as he made his way out onto the field, glad to have some fresh air and sunshine after going so many days without it. That was one of the hardest things about being kept in this place, in his opinion. At least during their journey they had been outside more often than not

On the other hand, this area would be pretty good for testing out his powers, though chances were it would never actually be safe enough at night for him to make use of it. At one point he was just going to have to check and see if he could climb the wall in his and Logan's room, even though it would most likely lead to making a fool of himself.
Running a hand through his hair, he glanced around at the patients who were already taking to the field. It was good to see that some people could take joy in what the institute had to offer -- the library was just more his thing.
Guess I haven't changed that much, he thought with a small sigh as he found a place off to the side where he could take a seat on the grass.

Takaya didn't want to play with a damn ball. Something he was happy to share with the nurse who kept trying to give him ablack-and-whitesoccer ball. He kept shoving right back at her. Finally, when her shadow shove it at him, he flipped her the bird, grabbed the ball (maybe he could throw it at someone later) and stalked off to a corner of the field.
It wasn't until he'd actually sat down that he noticed the other guy, anda glance at the woman showed that this was acceptable.
Shit.
Oh well. Better this than being forced into doing something stupid. He ignored the guy in favor of frowning down at the ball. To think, he used to LIKE the game.

Though eventually the patient stormed away right in his direction, and Peter straightened a little.
The teenager didn't seem to notice him until after he had sat down, and even then he didn't say anything. Peter didn't think he could just keep quiet after witnessing all of that, though, and the kid looked like he needed some cheering up.
"Not a fan of soccer, huh?" he asked, glancing over at the ball as well.
Reply
Takaya turned his glare towards the guy, gold eyes narrowing. "I like soccer fine," he said, tone quite a bit less annoyed than his expression. "I don't like being fucking forced to play."
He considered throwing the ball at his head, then set it on the grass and instead rolled it over. A fight with another orderly wasn't on his list of things to do at the moment.
"What about you? They must like you if they didn't push this shit on you too."

Peter didn't really see the point of not doing something purely out of rebellion. You did something because you liked it, and didn't do something because you didn't. He wanted to think it was that simple, anyway. There were some things he had done because he had felt the obligation to, but that was a whole other story.
He was a little surprised by the mouth on this kid, but he looked like he was at that age where cussing was considered cool. It didn't exactly bother Peter (he had grown up in New York, after all), but it gave him a small idea of what kind of person the teen was. He did his best not to let his high school experience instill a prejudice toward the other patient.
"I don't usually make a fuss," he said with a shrug. "The most they usually do is force me to 'make friends' with another patient."
Reply
"Yeah. They're real pushy about the whole 'make friends' crap." He jerked his head towards the nurse and her gorilla. They were occasionally glancing in his direction, making sure he was behaving. "They seemed pretty fucking happy when I sat here.
"You don't mind,do you?" He wouldn't get up and leave if the kid said he minded, but it would be good to know.

"Anyway, has it worked?" He paused for a moment until he realized how cryptic that sounded without a qualifier. "Have you made any friends, I mean?"
Hopefully that didn't come off as mean or anything -- he was just genuinely curious. Peter had made one friend so far, but that was about it. Harry didn't count, obviously, since they had been friends for years now.
Reply
"No. I haven't made any fucking friends." Except perhaps Sagara... and he'd liked Lee well enough. But Lee was gone and Sagara, well, he didn't think he'd be able to look at the other boy for a while without blushing. Bastard.

Then again, this was supposed to be mental hospital, so that would probably just come off as neglectful.
"Yeah," he said with a shrug. "I guess it's the same for me. I mean, the friends I do have I'm very close to, but I'm not one of those people who has a bunch of them." That basically translated to "I wasn't popular in high school," but he didn't think there was anything wrong with it. Not anymore.

Fuck them.
"You have friends from back home stuck here?"

At the question, Peter smiled a little. "Well, one friend and one... enemy." He wasn't sure if Eddie could really count as an enemy, especially since he apparently didn't know about kidnapping MJ or killing Harry. It was possible he had been lying, but for some reason Peter didn't think so. If there was an alternate version of him, there could be an alternate one of Brock too.
"My name's Peter, by the way." He noticed he had a habit of forgetting to even exchange names with the people he spoke to, so he wanted to make an effort not to do that.
Reply
Anyone. Except Yuzuru. Or Naoe. He didn't think he could handle them.
He blinked, coming back to the present when the guy, Peter, offered his name. "Takaya." He nodded his head absently.
Reply
Takaya, huh? That was another name that sounded like it was Japanese, just like that Ken guy he had met that one time. There were a lot of people from Japan around -- or at least more than he would have expected.
"So, if you don't have any friends here, what do you usually do at night?" Maybe the kid had decided to just stay in his room. It wasn't that bad of an idea, especially if he wasn't a capable fighter. Either way, Peter thought it would be best that he kept an eye out for the teen and made sure he didn't get hurt. It would be as Spider-man, but that didn't matter.
Reply
What did he do? "I would rather stay in my fucking room at night," he growled. "I don't though." Kagetora bitched and whined when he did and forced him to go out. That he hadn't last night meant he would probably go out tonight.
Reply
"Why not?" he asked, turning back to the kid. It might be the guilt of knowing that everyone else was out fighting while he was safe in his room (that was what would bother Peter about it, anyway), but he got the feeling Takaya didn't think like that.
Reply
That sounded better. Sort of.
