Day 33: Intercom, Morning

Jun 26, 2008 03:10

The intercom clicked on with its usual jingle. However, what wasn't so ordinary was the weary tone with which the Head Doctor made his announcement.

"As mentioned earlier, men will be escorted to the recreational field, where our staff will be distributing a variety of playing balls; other equipment will available for our patients with clean records of good behavior. Women will be escorted to the greenhouse, where staff members will instruct the patients on potting and tending to plants as a means of relaxation. Assigned patients will be taken to therapy.

"That's all for now."

The intercom clicked off with abruptness usually not heard of during the daytime. Something was certainly up with the Head Doctor, and at least from his point of view, it wasn't something good.
