NIGHTSHIFT 32: THE CHAPEL (2ND FLOOR)

Taking a breath, Renamon eased open the heavy door. The sounds of the hall left as she stepped into the empty room. Her flashlight threw shadows against the darkened glass, and her sensitive ears heard the echoes of creaks bouncing off the high ceiling. It was definitely a creepy place, but there was nothing in the room to be afraid of. No monsters, just as the voice had said. Just an empty church.
She stood still for a moment, willing her flashlight to catch the spark of a digital doorway, or something of the sort. Nothing but shadows greeted her. She didn't expect to find anything her first night, but the lack of anything darkened her mood a bit. She stepped a bit further in. They could at least search for the other reason she came here, and test these "healing powers." Her leg hadn't healed when she stepped through the doorway, so she assumed there was something in here that would have healing abilities. The problem was she had never been here before, and nothing stood out to her. It was all odd.
She turned to ask Orihime and Toboe about it when she noticed the wolf wasn't behind the sweet healer. And though the slowly closing door, she didn't see him either. She was sure he was behind them. He couldn't have just vanished. Things like that....
"Orihime. Where's Toboe?"
