here]Angel stepped inside the bathroom, the sword held loosely in his hand. He let the door close on its own, but didn't quite shut it completely, scanning his darkened surroundings instead. A part of him found it vaguely odd that he was even in here. He hadn't been in a public bathroom in...well, ever. Going any place in public where there

Such was the case with this creature. It was confident, but it also let its stomach do the thinking for it -- more than willing to stalk its prey if that was what it took for a good meal. And this prey was well-sized, with a good amount of flesh that could be torn from the bones.
The cat edged its paw in to make sure the door didn't close, glowing eyes watching its target from afar.

It wasn't until he felt the distinct sensation of someone, or something, watching him that he glanced up, taking a careful step back to better scan his surroundings. Which yielded nothing in particular that he could really see, not that that meant much.
Maybe he should've paid a little more attention to keeping that door secure.

It dug the claws on its front paws into the floor as it prepared itself, shuddering in pleasure at the thought of how this human would taste.
Then it launched forward, getting almost halfway into the bathroom with one leap. It landed gracefully, tail swishing as it darted left to cut around to the side of the patient and then jumped again, straight for Angel with claws extended.

He went with the fall, having just enough time to bring the sword across in front of him, hoping to put enough distance between himself and those claws as he tried to toss the animal off of him altogether, though he could feel them do their damage regardless.
Who decided to grow this thing to this size, anyway?

Matt stopped only a moment to lean on the doorframe on his way in, dizziness overcoming him again. He stopped a second time, however, as he was assaulted by an odd and mildly revolting smell. It was a bathroom, so he figured he shouldn't have been surprised, but it wasn't a typical bathroom odor. He skimmed the light around the room, trying to see the source...
"JesusThere was a dead... something... in the middle of the floor. It might have been a large cat at some point in time - or a dog, but the body structure was definitely more feline. Whatever it was, it wasn't moving now. There was a fair amount of blood on the floor as well, and signs of a struggle. it had faced off against something or someone else. There was a surprisingly low amount of blood around the creature itself, however, given the injuries it had received. (It looked as though some sort of bladed weapon had been involved ( ... )

The skull in the reflection stared back at him, flesh mostly rotted off the bleached bones. Empty eye sockets gaped at him and the jaw hung open, exposing jagged, blood-stained teeth.
The skeleton in his reflection watched him, its pose mimicking the position of the boy on the other side of the mirror perfectly, as if it really were his own reflection still staring back at him.

He saw his own flesh and blood arms before him. He knew it couldn't be his real reflection, but it scared him all the same. Of course the mirrors here couldn't be normal at night. No reason to try fooling himself.
"Oh come on," he grumbled anyway without getting up from the floor. "Isn't that just a bit much?"

The eyeless skull continued to stare at him, its bony hands pressed against the reflective surface as it pushed. The crack grew a tiny bit larger.
