Chopper turned his head slowly away from her to look under the bed. Realizing that only one arm and leg were actually hidden under it, he slid quickly to hide correctly. The human lady giggled again.
"It's too late to fix it," she said. "Now why don't you come out from under there, Anthony?"
"I don't want to," Chopper said firmly, a pout appearing on his face. "And my name isn't Anthony!"
Who was this human lady, anyway? And where were Luffy, and Zoro, and Sanji and Nami and Robin and Franky? Or even Brook; where was Brook?
"Who are you!?" he demanded.
The lady smiled at him, peering under the bed. "I'm your nurse."
"My nurse? Really?" he asked. He didn't remember a nurse joining the crew, but if she said she was… With how often everyone got injured, it certainly would be a big help to have an assistant…
"Really," she replied.
He cautiously scooted out from under the bed, trying to remember what had happened. They'd beaten Oz and then Gecko Moria, and then that other Shichibukai had shown up… He couldn't remember anything after that. They must have beaten that guy, and Luffy asked this nurse lady to join the crew while he'd been unconscious. If his own uninjured (though admittedly foreign) body was anything to go by, maybe the human lady treated the crew's injuries.
"Where is everyone?" he asked, standing up. "And why do I… Why am I…"
The question went unfinished. He couldn't quite bring himself to actually finish it out loud: 'Why am I human?'… Since Luffy had asked her to join them, then he could be sure she wasn't a bad person, but… His face had felt like a human's, so it must have looked like a human's, too. If she didn't already know that he was a reindeer, he didn't want to risk her thinking that he was… that he was a monster…
The human nurse lady picked up his shirt from the floor and stood as well. He was surprised to see that she wasn't as tall as he'd expected. Although… judging from his surroundings, this human body was taller than Brain Point, even if it wasn't as tall as Heavy Point.
"Everyone is in the cafeteria right now to enjoy lunch," the human lady stated, pulling the shirt down over his head. Chopper moved his arms to go through the sleeves. "Why don't we go join them, hmm?"
…Lunch? Of course! Luffy would definitely be where there was food, and Sanji would naturally be in the kitchen!
He ran for the door, swinging it open and stepping into a hall that was just as unfamiliar as the room he'd left. He turned to look back at the human nurse lady. "Which way is the kitchen?"
She giggled again, walking out of the room to join him. "Just come with me," she said, taking his arm.
