The first thing Mori noticed was not the change in the sheets, or the difference in the size of the room, or even the fact that he wasn't wearing his usual sleepwear. It was the shift in the smell of the air. He would have remained asleep a little longer if it hadn't been for the slightly tangy smell of cleaning fluid, something the maids in his house never used. His house usually smelled of polish, wood, tatami, paper and sometimes of Piyo-chan when the little chick decided to sleep with Mori instead of her nest. Groggily opening one eye, he sat up and took a minute to take in his surroundings.

White, small, commoner style - no Piyo-chan, no tanuki, nothing that resembled home. He knew he should be panicking, but he figured this had to be some sort of joke. Another one of those weird things that just happened sometimes. Normally Mitsukuni would have told him, but perhaps this was meant to be a surprise? Mori looked down at the grey clothes with the yellow happy face and raised an eyebrow. If this was a joke, it wouldn't be grey. Definitely not grey.

The door opened and Mori turned to look at the woman standing there. A nurse? Was he in a hospital? He'd just been helping the tanuki settle in and had gone to bed. There was no way he could have gotten hurt.

"Good afternoon, William! You slept in quite a bit there, but I hope you're feeling rested now," she said cheerily. "Ready to go to the cafeteria? You're just in time for lunch."

Mori just stared at her. Who was William? And how was it afternoon? He always woke up early so he could make sure Mitsukuni woke up on time. Then they'd go to school together. The routine was to remain unbroken and--

Wait, cafeteria? He obviously wasn't in Ouran anymore and as he looked at her, slightly puzzled, she smiled again. "You're in Landel's Institute, William. Now come on. You need to eat something."

Mori let the nurse take him by the hand and almost thought about asking where Mitsukuni was, but the nurse was already talking about how he was going to enjoy his stay here and that he could make friends and-- now she was rambling. Mori tuned her out and looked around as he went, wondering if this was some sort of new theme park Kyouya had decided to put on. As long as he was able to find Mitsukuni and the others soon, he was certain this would all get cleared up. After all, a joke could only go so far and they had school today.
