[from here] Beatrix entered the hallway, Rena close behind her, and walked down it. Again, she hugged the wall, fingertips brushing very lightly against the left wall as they no longer had the benefit of light provided by the other prisoners. The Bride slowed her pace some to compensate for the teenage girl's inexperience.

While there had been a few other patients near the stairs, it didn't look like any of them were heading in this direction. Sora made sure to look over his shoulder to check if they were being followed, but it seemed that they were on their own for now. Normally that thought would bother him, but it would probably be easier to accomplish what they had set out to do if they weren't negotiating with others.
Besides, it wasn't like they were completely alone! They had each other, and he knew that the Keyblade would be there for him if any trouble did cross their path.

She was tired of being left alone. She wanted to join in on the adventures too! There were so many worlds … so many she wanted to see! Atlantica, for instance! Being a mermaid sounded pretty cool.

On the other hand, he always told himself that he wouldn't get to see the friends he had made ever again, and then something happened that caused them to meet one more time.
Either way, Kairi's attitude toward it made him feel a little better. She made it sound like it would be so easy to go around visiting everyone, and maybe it would.
Reaching the door, Sora opened it only to be greeted with the outdoors and some sort of monster attack, from the sound of it. Frowning, he ran outside without hesitation, knowing Kairi would follow.

This looked like a good place to catch his breath. Adelheid had been practically running since he left his room, and with his newly-healed leg, that was a much more difficult proposition than it normally would have been. Ah well, that didn't matter. After a moment's rest, he'd be fine. He was almost there, too; just a little bit more! Perhaps he'd get his goal accomplished after all!

As Alec ran, he could feel time running out. No! He had to make it to the kitchen! He just had to! This night couldn't be a total waste...!
But fate was not on his side, because the dawn came, and he was back in his bed. Night was over.
"Fuck!"
