Dinner had been pleasant! Still commoner food, but very good. And the tea! Tamaki was still sipping at his when the intercom switched on and the doors unlocked. He didn't entirely understand what was going on, but something had upset the Head Doctor very much. Which was perfectly alright with him ( Read more... )

[[From here.]]

Raine stood just inside the doorway for a few moments, wondering what she should say, or if she should. If someone asked where Reinforce was, she didn't exactly have any answers.

People vanished all the time here, though. News traveled fast, and she knew Tamaki at least had lost someone he was close to--there was no explanation, she was just gone one day. So if anyone wondered... they might be able to simply guess.

Raine sat down at a desk and took out her book; she didn't feel like talking, and it was a distraction.

(From above)

Tamaki, on the other hand, did feel like talking. Especially when the twins abandoned what he'd asked them to do to do...well, what they normally did. Everyone else listened to him, why couldn't they? He'd nodded to Misa and Light - he didn't know the other man - but it was clear he wasn't going to be able to ask what they could do, or were willing to do, without interrupting.

And it was getting too crowded in here. And Tamaki didn't know who had even basic first aid skills and who didn't.

"Ah... I think maybe now would be a good time to start moving people into other rooms? We aren't going to have room for any patients if this keeps up!"

Raine looked up, but it was a few moments longer than usual before she spoke; she had a lot weighing very heavily on her mind. "I'd suggest putting two or three people in each room; the others can decide where they want to go, but it's best if you, Kratos, and I stay in here." The healers needed to stay where people knew to find them, and Tamaki was technically in charge; moreover, it was his room.

She also hadn't missed what the twins were doing, and this was not a time to be goofing off; she could probably have made them listen to her even if they ignored their friend, but tonight she just didn't have it in her; so, sending them away was the best solution. Consequently, she wasn't certain about leaving them in charge of hurt patients, but she supposed they could at least be trusted to get someone else if one of their charges suddenly took a turn for the worse.

Tamaki just nodded. Miss Raine clearly had a great deal on her mind. He would have preferred to have a healer in one of the other rooms, but he'd bring that up later.

"Ah! Attention, please?" Tamaki could only spare Ed a quick glance and half-smile when he came in. "Hikaru, Kaoru? If you're going to be social, could you perhaps move to the room next door? It's part of the clinic, but we're getting so crowded in here and patients are going to start coming in...."

Partly out of habit, Raine's attention turned to the twins; this was not a time to be playing around, even if they didn't have anyone in need of treatment yet. If they gave Tamaki a hard time about being sent to one of the other rooms, she had no qualms about... backing him up.

She was hardly about to lose control of her temper, despite everything, and she had figured out that her ideas of how to keep children in line were seen as a little over-the-top here. Regardless, she knew multiple ways to get results.

"Alright!" Now there were wounded people coming in, three that Tamaki could count immediately. He turned and frowned, because he needed this room and he needed it cleared and people who needed treatment could hardly get in the door!

No, this wouldn't do. He was going to have to be strict in his guidelines. He did hate to yell, but it really was a matter of life or death!

"Everyone who isn't tending a patient, move next door now! Or I will ensure you're removed there whether you go willingly or not!"

(Moving down to tend to patients!)
