Renji slammed into the kitchen door full force, though not with the side he had Artemis on. The rusted out lock gave with a metallic shriek, the door springing wide open, and he fell through to the other side of the doorway, hitting the floor gracelessly. He shoved Artemis away and lunged to his feet, slamming the door shut behind Hitsugaya as soon as the captain had come through.
They just had to hope that there wasn't yet another opponent like that waiting in this room.
