The shinigami had never changed her clothes so quickly before in her life as soon as the nurses had left. Momo did not want to spend any more time than was absolutely necessary with her roommate. The shinigami uniform went on easily enough with her injured shoulder, now that it had healed some, with tolerable pain. As the night before, she did

As Dr. Landel's voice came over the intercom, the realian frowned but set about getting ready. Even though she wasn't going to set out right away, she didn't want to wait any longer than she'd have to. So using this time would probably be beneficial.
"The man on the radio is dead."
MOMO stopped at those words, dropping her journal as her eyes widened. The man on the radio was dead? And Dr. Landel had been the one to kill him? The news was unexpected, and frightening to say the least.
Even more so, the radio man - Jack, Bast had called him - had seemed to be on their side. Even if the information he gave was cryptic, he had been helping them... What would this mean now..?
Taking a deep breath, the Prototype picked up her journal and tucked the maps back into place as she tried not to think about that. No matter how unnerved the admission had made her, she had a job to do. She couldn't let herself forget that; not when someone was going to be counting on her...

Down one hall and then the next, and finally Homura arrived at the correct room. He glanced to Heiji for a moment, then grinned, speaking softly. "Try to be polite to our healer. She's not part of our group." Though with any luck that could change, but it was something to be seen. Homura had to assess both MOMO's power and her personality.
Working with the History Club could be a rather trying task.
Raising a hand, Homura knocked sharply on the door.

But, just for good measure, he spat on the floor again before she answered. He didn't mind the taste of blood, but it was disgusting to have it rolling around in his mouth and swallowing it made him sick.
"I really hope she'll be able to handle us both. No offense, but we both look like shit."

Smoothing her skirt, more from habit than anything else, the realian quickly stood to answer the door. She couldn't be certain which of the two was Homura, but neither seemed to be in the best of shape. Of course, that was the reason they were there in the first place, wasn't it?
"Good evening," MOMO greeted, giving a small bow before moving away from the door. "I hope you didn't run into any trouble on the way here."

It wasn't long before MOMO answered the door, and Homura met her bow with a slight nod. "Good evening." He stepped into the room when MOMO moved away, giving a glance to Heiji before he replied. "No trouble, really. We just had a discussion, but I think we reached a resolution."
There was no way MOMO wouldn't recognize the cut on Heiji's neck as being fresh. But the argument was none of her concern, so Homura felt no need to share. Hopefully Heiji would realize the same.
"I am Homura, and this is Heiji." He motioned to the teen, then turned to MOMO. "Thank you for your assistance. Simply tell us what you need us to do."

"Nice t'meetcha Momo-han. Sorry you trouble you--hope y'don't mind another victim?" He laughed good-naturedly. There wasn't any sign of the previous argument and consequential fight left on his face or demeanor.
Except for the hand gripping his ribs in agony.

Considering that the cut on Heiji's neck looked fresh, MOMO had to wonder what this 'discussion' Homura mentioned entailed. Neither seemed willing to discuss it though, and both were civil enough at the moment, so it wasn't her place to pry. Besides, it was more worrisome to see Heiji gripping his ribs the way he was.
"Please feel free to sit down if you'd like. Otherwise, could you please tell me the extent of your injuries? That'll help in determining what exactly needs to be done." And how much energy she'd have to exert to do it. Normally a quick scan of each individual would tell her everything she needed to know, but her scanners told her next to nothing here.

The demi-god remained standing, leaving the bed to Heiji. It wouldn't do either of them any harm to relax, but Homura didn't intend to stay longer than he had to. Both he and Heiji had assignments to take care of, and Homura was particularly looking forward to his.
"My ribs are cracked, and there is a large puncture in my back." Homura glanced to the teen, just long enough to make sure he was paying attention. "I was attacked by a spider last night."

"I think, one of my ribs is broken and has, uh, punctured my lung. I coughed up some blood in the hallway," He pulled up his shirt and revealed that his torso was completely bandaged. Heiji pointed to an area on his side. "It hurts here. And I'm pretty scratched up on my back and torso, but I can live with my other injuries--the rib is, agh, worrying me."
I was attacked by a pair of cats and a crazy man. Whoops! Did I say that out loud?
"I ran into trouble too," The detective finished. "Last night. And I fell in the hallway."
God, what a cliché excuse.

"I see. I'll be sure to do what I can in helping the both of you." The fact that Heiji admitted to having coughed up blood indicated that he was worse off. That would've normally given him priority, but she needed to think of Homura here too. Even if it went against what she was used to back home, it would probably be wise to deal with the least injured person first. Then she could focus on the more extensive injuries a little more freely.
Turning to Heiji, the realian gave him an apologetic smile. "Please forgive me, but I'll be with you in just a moment. I'd like to take care of Homura first." That said, she turned back to the other man and moved closer to him before holding out her hand. "I'm afraid I need to be in contact with the person I'm trying to heal, so may I please have your hand?"

When MOMO offered her hand, the demi-god gave her a relaxed smile. "Certainly." Physical contact was something that didn't bother him in the slightest, and he easily took MOMO's hand, holding it in a manner that could be considered surprisingly gentle.
At least given his normal brashness.

He watched Homura take MOMO's hand with some interest. He'd never seen such a method of healing before, so he thought it would be interesting to appraise what transpired. Would there be flashy lights like in manga and video games? Or would Homura's wounds just simply close?

"I'm going to try and focus on your ribs, but I'm afraid I won't be able to monitor the progress here." Once she was able to return home, she'd never take her scanners or sensors for granted again. "I'm going to need you to tell me when to stop, okay?"
With that said, the realian closed her eyes and concentrated. It didn't take long for a faint glow of light to appear around her hands, signalling her use of a Medica spell. The resulting headache came on simultaneously as well, but she continued to focus on maintaining the spell.

After a few moments, Homura gave the woman's hand a squeeze. "That will do." The broken bones had knitted enough, as had the wound in his back. It wasn't perfect, but certainly much better, allowing Homura a greater freedom of movement.
He'd simply have to be careful for now, to prevent undoing any of MOMO's work.

He laughed, then stopped and clutched his ribs. "Ugh... ow."

Still, she had to ask, "Are you feeling better now?" It was always best to have things confirmed, after all.
At Heiji's comment, MOMO shook her head (and regretting the action once it resulted in a brief dizzy spell), but found herself blushing despite that. And she would have said something, had he not clutched at his ribs again.
"Ah-- be careful!" she said, moving to the side of the bed and kneeling down. "If you'll give me a moment, I can heal you while you're laying down. I'm sure it'll be easier on you that way."
