Day 30: Men's Showers (Third Shift)

The lockdown had been interesting. The fact that the staff had enough power to put down a rebellion that quickly and then lock people into their rooms just as fast was something of a feat to be admired. Their efficiency would have been much more impressive if Okita had been on the other side of it, however. As it stood, he had to keep his ( Read more... )

Jack nodded. He'd done similar things, himself, and it brought him no end of entertainment. "Yeah, I can imagine," he said. And he could. Not because he'd met reincarnated people; more because skipping through time meant that you sometimes met the same people in ways that you didn't necessarily want to. Or there was the whole not getting older thing, while the people around him that he'd ceaselessly shagged in their youth eventually turned into great-grandparents, if they lived that long. It was a bit sad if he wanted to think about it.

Still, no reason to be down in the dumps. He was setting himself up for a good time the next night, so no complaints there.

"That's interesting..." Heretical indeed. Jack felt rather bemused. He was pretty certain he didn't fit into the natural order himself, at all. But he didn't get an interesting eye-color out of it. Not that he'd probably look that good with golden eyes anyway. "Celestial misfits, huh? Sound like fun people." He wasn't so sure about the whole gods thing, but he could roll with it. One man's god was another man's alien and good lay, after all.

"At least they're still hot," kenren continued with a grin. All of that serious stuff was getting depressing. He couldn't say he was glad that Tenpou wasn't there, because he had to admit, he thought his friend would enjoy it as much as Kenren was (minus the torture and people being patronising of course).

Interesting... was one way of putting it. And Goku had definitely livened up the heavens. "They can be. Or they can try to bite your arms off. Either way, at least life isn't boring." He shrugged. "I'm guessing there's nothing like that where you come from?"

Jack laughed. "That counts for a lot. Life's always better when the scenery is nice." He gave Kenren a conspiratorial smile. "Well, I wouldn't necessarily say celestial beings, but extra-solar works. We get a lot of aliens passing through, and I end up dealing with most of them. Interesting people, for the most part. Good for some gossip."
