There was music playing in the library.
The door was closed and shut, but music filtered out anyway. Inside, the room was lit with battery operated lanterns set on tables. The tables themselves had been moved and arranged into a U formation, one table horizontal in the center of the room with two tables parallel to one another set against its ends

"You get right to the point, don't you? I like that. Sorry to say, that's not on the table for discussion," Jack said, grinning. That whole sordid mess was no one's business. At least as far as he was concerned.
"Now if you're looking for something a little more tangible... maybe I can help you out a little."

Blinking as his eyes adjusted to the dim light, the sword peered around the side of the wheeled chair as Ryuga spoke, he caught the sight of this so called ‘Radio Man’ - if that who this human actually was. He felt the edgings of suspicion creep against the corner of his mind as Ryuga’s question was dismissed by the other man.
He didn’t trust this bag of flesh in the slightest - there was something about them that put the sword on edge, but if they weren’t willing to give them that particular information, maybe there were other ways to find it. “And by tangible you mean those weapons and drugs you spoke of over that radio contraption yes?”

"What do you want, an ID?" Jack raised his eyebrow. "I'd think the radio equipment would be a dead giveaway. I've got my reasons, kid. I've shown myself before. I've handed help over directly before. This? Just makes it easier. A guy can't spend his whole night running everywhere, can he?"
Did they think he was some trick of Martin's? Maybe. Could he blame them? He could, but he knew it was ridiculous to. That bastard had them so damn paranoid....
The cat stood and stretched, acting like a simple housecat despite its size and decomposition. Jack playfully tugged its tail, and the beast shot him a look that clearly said he wasn't amused.

"Did I mention requirements?" No, he hadn't. Interesting. He liked seeing how people reacted.
"Martin doesn't answer questions, kid. You boys want something you can actually put your hands on, or are you just here to shoot the shit? I don't mind, I just want an idea as to what's going on here."

"There sure as hell's circumstances I wouldn't give something away," he went on. "But you don't need to worry about that right now." He turned to the other one now, the quieter one.
"So what are you interested in? Maybe... a sword?"
There was a certain pointed note in Jack's tone, a certain spark of intelligence as he looked between the two men now.

When their suspicions were confirmed, the Night Rune quickly snapped. “So when should we start worrying?”
He was caught off guard for a moment when the attention was given to him, and he couldn’t help but feel surprised over the sudden interest of a sword. The expression soon faded and was replaced with a deep scowled in return. It seemed far too coincidental that such an item was offered out of everything else, and the tone they used told the Star Dragon Sword that the suggestion wasn’t just done on a whim.
“A sword hmm? I could find myself interested in such a thing.” Just where was he going with this? “And just what type of sword would you be offering?”

He laughed at L. He threw his head back and laughed, a deep and throaty sound. The cat looked up and made an annoyed mewling sound, obviously not pleased that his master was making such a loud sound.
"Only if I go right to sleep afterwards." He was still chuckling as he spoke. "Here." He pulled out another bar of chocolate and tossed it to the man in the wheelchair, eyes still bright with amusement. "Alright, ask your questions. I know that's what you're here for."

He found himself surprised by Ryuga’s reply, and he had minor flashes of that sloth Viktor for a moment. It was clearly a taunt - granted less crude and vile than that oafs - and he waited for this radio man to rise to the bait. The laugh didn’t come as such a surprise, nor the comments afterwards.
When consent to ask questions was given, the Star Dragon Sword stood back and allowed Ryuga his questions. He currently didn’t have anything further to ask, but he would remain observant and see just how this would unfold.
