From just looking at Professor Oak's office, it was hard to say why he was hired. There were boxes littering the ground (there were titles but they might as well have been in a foreign language), papers scattered about on the desk as well as a few on the floor, and a half set up computer. If the computer were put together, Oak's patients would see a screensaver with what looked like tennis balls and happy monsters going ':D!' Thankfully for them it was in pieces.
It'd be set up before night and most of the overloaded boxes would be stuffed in a corner. The rest would be unpacked and sitting somewhere but with the way things were, it was hard to tell where someone would put that much junk. Good thing that wasn't what the patients would be worrying about, after all it was none of their business what he had. Not that the various items would interest anyone except for himself, unless of course they were on their way to becoming Pokemon Trainers.
This group, from what the Professor read so far, weren't near ready to go out into the world. He'd prefer not to force anyone to become a trainer - it took a strong-willed person to become a Pokemon Trainer, if they didn't have it, they didn't have it - but he would try to help with the issues they thought they'd face along the way. Of course that didn't mean he was willing to help with everything, trainers had to learn and experience for themselves what they wanted to do.
Knowing that made him wonder why he was here in the first place, but he put it out of his mind.
There were more important things to do right now, what with the time coming to for the trainers to arrive. Before they did, he started looking through the boxes behind his desk. There was an item he decided he would use just for these therapy sessions and he'd forgotten which box he'd placed it in.
