[Still in Room M23]
He'd gone to the closet to search for a new hiding place to dump the cigarettes, and instead, found something very unexpected.
Hanging in the closet was a set of very unmistakable clothes. Sanzo stared for a second.
What the hell?It had to have arrived very recently, because he hadn't seen it earlier. He wasn't even going to

From there he went under his bed and pulled out the sword. So like Hyorinmaru, yet so incredibly different. He was reflecting on the blade briefly when he heard a knock on the door. For a second longer he contemplated the blade when he heard a voice call his name. He turned to glance at the white haired boy... "Allen Walker, right?" he said gruffly. He hadn't spent much time getting to know the boy, but Renji seemed to think well enough of him. Considering Renji had been the one Allen tried to kill on first arriving, he saw no reason to doubt the vice captain's intentions.
"You're here for a map," he said definitively. "There's one on the table. Take it."

Okay, so maybe he'd hurried a bit more than necessary on his way to Hitsugaya's room, but that was understandable, right? Who knew what might be lurking in the hallway? It certainly wasn't nerves, and the way he kept flinching whenever a flashlight beam got close to him had nothing to do with it, either. Nope.
He paused as he neared Hitsugaya's door, uncertain. That was... Allen? Yes, he'd met him the other day, the first time he'd worked with Hitsugaya. And from the sound of it, Hitsugaya was just inside. Hopefully there hadn't been a change of plans. He gave Allen a quiet 'hi' as he stopped next to the door, eyes and flashlight sweeping the hallway not-quite-nervously. "Hitsugaya-san?"

He followed the instructions promptly, picking up one of the maps and studying it for a moment before he tucked it away. "Thank you sir."
One of the other boys was at the door as he exited and he sent a friendly smile and a wave in Omi's direction as he passed him.

"As soon as Fowl-san arrives, we'll head out. He's acquiring a weapon from the alchemists. Good considering what we're going to be doing tonight." He left it at that for the moment. He'd give a full mission briefing once Artemis arrived. "You indicated you were wounded, right? If you show me where I can tend to them before we go."

"If you're sure." He hesitated just a moment longer before entering the room and pulling the sweatshirt and t-shirt off. Not as easy as it should be, between the need to adjust the various weapons and things stashed about his person and the pull of the stitches.
On the plus side, the large, parallel gashes running from shoulder blades down to mid-back don't need much explaining. "What are we doing tonight?"

He didn't bother answering Omi at first. His primary goal was to take care of the assassin's injuries. He focused on the reiatsu deep within him, pulling it out and through his hands and out onto the boy's wounds. Such a simple procedure should have taken no effort at all, but instead he felt it tear through his flesh as it escaped, slowly closing the gashes and soothing the wounded flesh. Some of the injury remained as he stopped allowing the reiatsu to flow. Blood gushed freely from one nostril, and he grabbed the pillowcase quickly to wipe the blood of his face.
He sat down for a time, catching his breath and waiting for his own inner turmoil from using the reiatsu to subside. He coughed a few times into the pillowcase, leaving behind even more traces of blood.
"You're as healed as I can afford to heal you," he answered, tossing the pillowcase into a corner. "As for tonight...we're going hunting."

Of course, he wasn't at all focusing on considering this stuff to avoid noticing the way Hitsugaya was reacting to using.. whatever that was. Hitsugaya had known there'd be a price to pay, and he'd been the one who'd offered, so Omi really shouldn't feel bad about it. Right?
Yeah.
He took a deep breath, shoving the guilt into the same tiny corner with all the emotions stirred up this afternoon that he definitely wouldn't be needing tonight. Time enough to look at them later. "Hunting what?"

"Nurses," Hitsugaya answered. "They hold the keys to the locked doors of the institute. If we can take them out, we have a chance at learning more about this institute and possibly even finding a way to get to the head doctor."

Omi quickly weighed the value of questioning Hitsugaya's sanity before reining in the impulse. He was a professional. He could handle this.
...Okay, no. He couldn't. Maybe it wasn't his team on the line, but he was rather fond of all his body parts. "If we don't all die first. Are you sure about this?"

Even if Omi didn't exactly agree with the 'skill and potential' assessment of Artemis.
Then again, he was pretty sure the feelings were mutual. "What does Artemis think about working with someone like me?" Omi was a professional, after all, and would work with the resources he was given. Artemis, on the other hand, had struck Omi as nothing more than a highly-skilled, petty child. Hopefully, it wouldn't get in the way.

Thursday knocked on the door before poking her head in. Two kids here, neither of whom she recognized. Neither of them looked like they could be Hitsugaya, but Momo had looked pretty young and she'd turned out to be shinigami.
"Er, sorry," she began, "but is Captain Hitsugaya here? I'm Thursday Next - I'm here to drop off the bat I got two nights ago and pick up a map."

He was about to say something to that nature when Thursday entered the room. He hated leaving a non-shinigami in charge, especially one not vouched for by a shinigami, but Thursday had at the very least impressed him. She had accomplished her mission and seemed dedicated to their success as an organization. The command would hopefully prove her ability in a leadership setting as well.
"That would be me," he answered, then motioned to his desk. "Maps are on my desk. There is another bat inside my closet. Just leave your bat next to it. Thank you for your hard work."

He dropped onto the bed opposite Hitsugaya's, waiting. Not for the first time, he really missed his laptop. It was lightweight enough not to get in his way when he carried it with him, so he could easily bring it along even on nights like this. Which would mean he'd have something to fidget with that didn't involve just kicking the bed frame with his heel.

Picking up a copy of the map, she nodded to both Hitsugaya and Omi, flashing a half-smile. With a "Good luck to both of you," she headed out the door and was gone.

Artemis stepped outside of Adel's room and immediately sneezed. Once, twice, again? Wrinkling his nose, he proceeded to the door of M23. He wasn't sure he liked what had just happened... someone was talking about him...
"Knock knock," Artemis said brightly, stepping into the room. "Good evening Captain, Tsukiyono-san." His smile twinged slightly into a small smirk. The boy remembered his last encounter with Omi with some amusement. "I hope you're doing better than your expressions suggest?"
Really, it looked as though someone had just died.
"Edward has made me what I hope is a suitable weapon, Captain," Artemis drew back the right side of his coat to display the blade and also, the Armani suit he was now fitted with. "I hope it will aide us in our mission tonight."
