This was no night to be lingering; Aidou sealed up M52 in his usual fashion and left hurriedly enough. He ignored the intercom beyond noting, with not a little suspicion, that 'wandered off' meant the usual babbling idiot was possibly planning something else. Who knew. Shadow was growing restless waiting for the sound of Valyn's magic. He hadn't seen the elf since lunch and it felt odd not being around him for a long period of time, especially when that time wasn't filled with preparing for battle. None of the information he had gathered today made him feel any better. In fact, it had only cemented what Valyn had been trying to tell him all along. Landel's was a hopelessly bleak situation. Many tried to outwit whoever was pulling the strings but all had failed. Still, Shadow was determined to find out the truth that was behind all of the confusion. Just who was it that had brought them all together and for what purpose? If Shadow could discover this he'd count himself a winner. Maybe then he could decide whether it would be better to find a way out or stay.

He finally stood up, growing tired of waiting for Valyn. Keman had said that Valyn's room was M25. It shouldn't be that hard to find. At least, Shadow hoped not. He had promised Valyn he would stay safe and he wanted to keep his word.
