This was no night to be lingering; Aidou sealed up M52 in his usual fashion and left hurriedly enough. He ignored the intercom beyond noting, with not a little suspicion, that 'wandered off' meant the usual babbling idiot was possibly planning something else. Who knew. The disgusting, rasping nurse's words weren't worth thinking on

Kind of interesting to learn more.
But now the focused seemed to be on him, and Sanosuke leaned against the wall near the door. Really, he didn't know if they had time for this now, but Kenshin was the person he trusted most, so the fighter would go for it. Besides, it sounded like the kid might have some skills too, and maybe answers would placate Shaggy enough to make him stick around. Numbers were a good thing.
"Let's see." Sano thought over it a moment, then nodded. "Okay. We talked about Saitou for a bit--oh yeah, he's alive, Kenshin. Guess you wouldn't know that. Right, what Okita said."
Sanosuke took a breath, trying to make sure he had it straight in his head. It was a lot of crazy shit, and that was the easiest kind to mix up. "He said this place is called Landel's something, and they want us all to think we're insane. Except at night when they let us out, I guess. Along with goblins and stuff. Oh, and he said people are from different times and worlds, and some aren't even human. Like, there was a half-god or something."
That all sounded about right. In a manner of speaking. Grinning, he looked to Zuko, shaking his head. "See why I said it all seemed like a dream?"

Zuko stared at the men incredulously, deciding whether the situation demanded him to laugh or scream. According to Kenshin and Sanosuke it sounded like they were all in some spirit world loony bin. Couldn't any karmic punishment have waited until AFTER he'd helped the Avatar save the world? Or did being here just mean he was dead? He patted his chest. It didn't feel like he was dead... Zuko glared at the two men. He desperately wanted to believe they were just crazy, but despite their outrageous claims there wasn't anything in their behavior that made them seem touched in the head. Well, besides the way Kenshin kept calling himself 'this one' and how Sanosuke had abducted him in the hallway-- Okay, maybe they are a little crazy.
Unfortunately one important fact rang true in Kenshin's explanation, and that was that Zuko could not firebend. And he'd seen all the prisoners in the hallways, what kind of prison allowed them to run amok like that? He wondered what his uncle would do in this situation; he'd probably eat up what these whackjobs had to say about half-gods and spirit things. Zuko held his head, he was beginning to get a headache.
"Say I believe you," he began as lifted his head after a long pause and stared suspiciously at them. He didn't believe all of it yet, but for now he'd ignore the ridiculous parts and stick to facts. "Who's in charge? Has anyone ever escaped?"

He'd definitely have to give Saitou a good punch next time he saw him. Maybe it'd even get through.
But Kenshin kept talking, filling in the small gaps Okita left in his explanation. Sanosuke couldn't help a pang of guilt when he saw the emotions coming from his friend. It wasn't like he didn't want to believe Kenshin or something. It was just that it was all insane.
Besides, wouldn't someone in a dream insist the dream was real?
He snapped himself from those thoughts though, giving a nod when Kenshin suggested testing his futae no kiwami. "Sure. I'm actually looking forward to giving you a demonstration of it anyway. Think you'll be impressed, Kenshin."
Moving over to the bed, Sanosuke tightened his right hand into a fist. He'd already noticed that it didn't seem to be broken anymore; in fact, it felt as good as it ever did. Pretty amazing, but another of those things Sano couldn't explain. "Doesn't matter if anyone's ever done it before, Shaggy. We're going to do it, even if we're the first."
Sanosuke grabbed a pillow, tossing it up into the air and flashing Kenshin a smirk before he hit it. This was his own variation of the futae no kiwami, the two handed version Sanosuke had developed on his own. And a damn good one, if the feathers that suddenly exploded from the pillow were any indication.
Except Sanosuke looked anything but satisfied at the result.

Zuko stared back at Kenshin but couldn't bring himself to return the man's smile; now that he questions were answered he was restless to get moving towards escaping. "Where is--" Zuko was about to ask where Homura could be found, when feathers began showering the room. Zuko was on his feet, completely taken aback. He couldn't figure out whether it was bending or just martial arts skill that made the pillow explode.
Suddenly irritated by the display of power, Zuko pulled a feather out of his hair and grasped it in his fist. His hand felt a little warm and sweaty, but when he opened it up there wasn't even a scorch mark on the feather. Zuko angrily tried to toss it aside, but he was robbed of the fleeting satisfaction a heavier object would have given him as the feather annoyingly floated in the air instead of smashing into the ground.
"Where is this group meeting?"

Finally, Fox got tired of waiting for the people to vacate Snake's room. Snake's former room. He knocked on the door. It was never smart to just barge in on a room of people who might or might not be armed and might posses some sort of unusual ability unless it was for the sake of a surprise attack.
Fox didn't plan to stay long, just long enough to search Snake's room for anything that he might have left behind. Then he planned to go out and kill as many of the horrible monsters in this place as he could find.

Still. Good for a cantrip.
"Yeah. It's easier on my hand. Just not as forceful as the original, but I don't think Anji would mind too much." Sano flexed his fingers, first the left hand, then the right, forming tight fists with each. They didn't feel too bad, but a pillow was nothing. The real test would come when it was time to fight. But not matter how much he'd been weakened, Sanosuke didn't care.
He didn't risk his life to learn the futae no kiwami just to give up on it so easily.
Shaggy was asking some good questions though, and Sanosuke turned to Kenshin with a nod. "Yeah. I'm interested in meeting this so-called demigod too." Then, seemingly in answer to their demand, someone knocked on the door. Without thinking, the fighter went over, pulling it open and giving Fox a look over.
"This the guy?" If it was, Sano had to say he didn't look like much of a god at all.

"I'll be outside," Zuko grumbled as he walked out the door.
[ Waiting out here.]

"I'm Fox... Snake was a friend of mine, and this was his room," Now to explain why he was here. "I wanted to see if he left anything behind or if his stuff has already been cleared out."
That was all there was too it, he just needed to know, and they certainly wouldn't leave anything in here for long with new patients being brought in.

Without it, did that mean Kenshin had to fight the other side of his personality again too?
There was little time to wonder about it, as Fox began to speak. The name Snake meant nothing to Sanosuke, but the man recognized the tension, the way the word was came from his mouth. He'd felt that pain and anger all too recently, and the fighter looked to Kenshin, his smile faded.
"I'm going to wait outside with Shaggy. Wouldn't do if he got caught up in something cause he was too impatient, right?" Sano tried to grin a little, but didn't have much success. "We'll be ready to go when you are, Kenshin."

He started in the closet, searching the pockets of the coats in there, then he checked the bed. Finally he went to less obvious hiding places, running his hands carefully along any surface he though might conceal something.
Twice he searched each hiding spot he could think of, and even some that were just absurd.
Nothing. There was nothing left. It was too clean, that entire side of the room seemed horribly sterile and looked like it had been empty for a lot longer than it had been.
Before he had died, Snake had said that he wasn't real, and now there was nothing to prove that he had ever been here.
Fox took his sword in both hands and cut the mattress apart in frustration, then he took his attention to the rest of Snake's side of the room, cutting the furniture, the wall, the closet.
There was no reason to stay in the room any longer, so Fox ran out into the hall, leaving Snake's half of the room in ruins.
