Ginji was shocked, stunned, overjoyed. Here they had just provided an entire "All-You-Can-Eat" meal and yet... and yet.... there was still more food. He knew there were people who could eat and eat and eat and eat because they had the money, but he had never, ever been one of those people. And now he was able to eat and eat and eat. Real meals.

He didn't feel like getting up just yet. He didn't feel like going into another room full of people that could end up smelling like dinner in a few days. He didn't want to run into anyone he knew, because all that has done so far was lead to them ...leaving.
The cafeteria was fairly empty now. He'd gotten up to get a few munchies, but otherwise just sat there, chewing idly on something that tasted slightly foul and keeping himself deep in thought.
[Unknowingly waiting for Aidou]

Life was so hard. Why were people like Miku, of all personality types, berating him!?
Aidou hadn't eaten anything all day, and so made sure to rectify that as soon as possible. A small, very small, reprieve in between today's series of stressful tasks wasn't a sin--it wasn't like he was asking for a short nap, of all things. Eventually, however, he stood up from his corner and approached Kyon's. He had no intention of turning it into a ringside match yet, but the imagery wasn't lost on him anyway. Best to approach this ( ... )

Wait, was there someone behind him? That's what it felt like.
Kyon turned to see the other walking up to him. He didn't look entirely happy either. Well shit, he didn't even know this guy! What was his problem?
Not wanting to start another incident in the cafeteria, Kyon kept his tone neutral and asked, "Can I help you?"

Aidou didn't get too close by sitting, nor did he stay standing and make the meeting look odd. Leaning back against the table edge, he glanced down at Kyon. Uchiha was the only familiar face in here, and he was blind.
"We have things to discuss, yes. Tell me your room number."

"I don't know you, so why would we have things to discuss?"
Really, he wondered what this guy wanted, but his mood hardly allowed for something like curiosity. No matter how strange that feeling had gotten now that the stranger had gotten so close.

At least that got to the heart of the issue, distasteful though it was.
Aidou was not so foolish as to make an attempt here, where there were factors working against him, nor was he foolish enough to reveal anything other than the obvious. And the obvious all came down to Kyon being a newly turned vampire, having bit someone, and was now between a rock and a hard place in terms of personal wellbeing. There were plenty of people who'd just love to end the life of a bloodsucking creature, Aidou included.

Kyon set the carrot down and dropped the irritated look. It returned to a neutral glance. This was starting to be blackmail, it was best to keep a poker face on. And who knew, maybe this guy was bluffing? Though it didn't seem likely.
"If I give you my room number, then how do I know that won't get me killed?"

Gods, he hated the smell of an ex-human. They were rank.
"Are you saying you think you deserve to live?" Spoken idly, as though this were a perfunctory inquiry. The noble crossed his arms. "I'll point out that I asked first, rather than immediately sending out the hounds. So. Room number, if you would. I'll meet you there tonight."
Even though Kyon was talking to the one person who, no doubt, wanted him dead the most.

" ...M37."
It was soft spoken but Kyon cleared his throat after.

Hence the willingness to delay action and pick its brain come nightfall. Easier to avoid eavesdroppers, as well.
And... it gave Aidou time to think. Of which he had plenty to think on.
Straightening, Aidou stepped away. "Keep your fangs to yourself, now. I'll be watching." The cafeteria was warm with sunlight, but in a situation like this, food was a cure-all. Unlike Kyon, Aidou could enjoy tastes from both worlds.

If Kyon had been in a bad mood before, then he was definitely in a terrible mood now. As Aidou walked away from his table, Kyon irritatedly picked the carrot back up again and finished it off. If it tasted bad, he'd just pretend it didn't.
The coming night seemed to hold more doom for him than he'd originally intended. Whoever that gay had been, he didn't like whatever it was that he wanted to discuss. The fact that he even knew who he was, was unnerving on its own.
