With the thought of food fresh in his mind, Allen found himself hurrying along, his mood just a little bit brighter. It seemed like his stomach was always rumbling in this place.  While the dinner had been sufficient, he was already hungry again after using so much of his strength just to invoke the Innocence back on the bus.

Sanji tried to grin but it came out looking more like a lopsided smirk. "O'course I c'n cook! I'm a chef! An expertise n'fine cuisine." One of the best, if you asked him, if not the best. That would be gloating, though, and he didn't need to do that. His food could speak for him.

If he ever got the chance to actually cook for the kid, which wasn't likely. Best to keep a positive face anyway.

The intercom nearby crackled to life, only transmitting static for a moment before a voice spoke over it. "Mummy? Where are you, Mummy?"

The Child could sense people somewhere, but he couldn't see them, and he wanted to know if one of them was Mummy. She had to be close by, she never went far, but he was lost and he needed to find her. She'd told him to stay put, but she'd been gone so long...

"Mum-my..."

"It sounds delicious!" Allen said with a small measure of enthusiasm. If there was one thing that could brighten his spirits, it was food. "I was-"

The little hairs on the back of Allen's neck rose as he heard the child's voice. He recognized it easily enough, having heard it only a couple nights ago. It was that poor, cursed child! While Allen's heart ached to help the boy, he didn't know what he could do for him. And he knew well enough not to let the child touch him. That had been a mistake he did not wish to repeat.

"That's not good," Allen's voice dropped to a whisper as he felt along the hallway for the door to the men's block. "We have to hurry!"

"Wha? Who's not? Wha's not? Whuzzat?" There was a new voice speaking up from the darkness now, and Sanji squinted in an attempt to see the origin with no success. It sounded like another kid, younger than the one currently helping him around. And he'd lost his mother?

"Poor kid," he frowned. "Shouldn' have kids tha'young here." If only he could find his feet better he might be of some help.

He finally felt the door beneath his hand and pushed it open. He just hoped the child was out in the hall and not waiting behind the door.
