Momo tugged on the collar of the light blue sweater she was wearing as she followed her nurse to wherever these buses were, winding her hair up into its customary bun as she went. It was an odd feeling, knowing she was about to go outside of the institute's borders. Maybe the Head Doctor was about to make an error and the shinigami, as well as

“Perfection, right. That was the word I was really looking for. Thank you for correcting me.” Letting out a laugh, Kairi finished off her juice box and prodded at her muffin when Axel started to speak again.
Turning her head and narrowing her eyes at Axel, Kairi lifted up a hand to prod him gently in the arm. “Would you stop calling me Princess already? You know my name!”
Retracting her hand away from Axel, she ran her fingers through her shoulder length hair, combing it for a few seconds before answering. “Anyway, I also don’t know what I’m doing. I was planning on just wandering around and exploring, but that’s pretty much as far as my plans have gone.”
She hadn’t seen Sora since last afternoon, so she didn’t know what his plans were. No one else she knew was on the bus anyway, so she didn’t know what to do.
But just then, a plan formed in her head, and she turned to Axel with a smile.
“Why don’t you wander around with me? I’ll stop you from getting sedated and all that fun stuff.”

Upon the redhead's suggestion Axel thought about it, letting the question hang for a good minute before finally responding.
"Why not? Maybe we can find a way to toss Sora into a dumpster without them catching us." Of course, with Kairi watching his every move that idea was unlikely, but maybe he'd be able to find a way to coerce her into doing it with him. Though in reality, he had no idea what the town was going to be like, but judging from the buses they were being crammed into he'd like to think that they'd at least be somewhat technological.
"Actually, I brought up a good point. Why aren't you gong to hang with Sora or Riku instead?"

At the mention of Riku and Sora, a sad smile crossed her face, and she shrugged her shoulders. “I haven’t seen Sora since yesterday afternoon, so I don’t know if he’d want to hang out. I mean, I’m sure he has things to do and I wouldn’t want to get in his way and all that.”
Kairi shut her eyes at the mention of Riku, a sigh escaping her lips. “I haven’t seen Riku for over a day now, so I doubt he’d want to hang out. I don’t even know where he is.”
Quickly tossing off her smile, Kairi forced herself to grin, leaning towards Axel with amused eyes. “And you’re not going to throw Sora anywhere, understand? A dumpster isn’t the same as the ocean, you know.”

The redhead wasn't too comfortable about the way the conversation was turning, shifting uneasily and chose not to comment on Riku's portion of the story. However, Axel grinned at Kairi's last statement, shrugging lazily at her comeback. The thought of tackling Sora into a dumpster was an amusing one, but there were cleaner things he could do to tease the brunet.
"Figures that girls like you would ruin all my fun. Maybe I should change my mind and you can wander around on your own."

Snorting, Kairi turned towards Axel once more with a faux-pout, and she looked up at him through her lashes with sad eyes. “Oh, fine. If you don’t want to hang out with me, I’ll understand. I don’t want to force you to hang around with someone you don’t even like …” Turning her head to the side, she let out a pretend shuddered sigh and lifted her hand to rib at her dry eyes.
Pretending to cry was her strong point, after all.
After a few moments of this charade, Kairi turned back to Axel with a smile. “But really. Do you want to walk around with me or not?”

However, his finger drooped when Kairi began her own sob act, watching the master at its work before rolling his eyes with much exaggeration. He had to admit, the girl was good, and if he didn't already know about her wickedly demonic side then he would've been pretty fooled with her act.
"I haven't got any qualms about it," Axel answered with a playful shrug. "As long as you don't drag me anywhere particularly girly then there isn't much for me to complain about."

“You know,” The young girl started, her fingers lifting up once again to press against the glass in a curious way, “I’ve never really seen anything like fall before. We didn’t really have different seasonal changes on the island other than hot, really hot, or melt your face off hot.”
By this time Kairi realized she was babbling and quickly shut her mouth. Turning away from the window, she looked down at her lap sadly; a twinge of homesickness began to burn in her heart.
Suddenly forcing herself to pop out of her personal woeboat, Kairi turned to Axel and tilted her head to the side and opened her mouth once again in an attempt to change the conversation. “Do you want my muffin?”

"Anyway, you're going to regret it once you do get hungry." The redhead warned, stealing another bite from the muffin before balancing it on one leg. There wasn't much else to talk about when it came to what they did and what they'll do, so Axel was quick to throw in another subject.
"I wish I brought a deck of cards." He sighed out as he shifted his weight on the seat. "At least we could play strip poker before we got there."

At his comment about strip poker, the once Princess rolled her eyes before proceeding to glare daggers at the redhead. “Geez, what is it with you and trying to get me to take my shirt off? First it was two nights ago when you were all ‘oh, why don’t we take our shirts off and kiss!’, and now this!” Leaning back in her seat, Kairi crossed her arms over her chest as a soft blush began to cover her cheeks. “Boys are so weird.”
Turning to look back at Axel once she was sure her cheeks were back to normal, Kairi tilted her head to the side and frowned. “You could always ask Luxord for some cards, you know. Or steal them.”
