Momo tugged on the collar of the light blue sweater she was wearing as she followed her nurse to wherever these buses were, winding her hair up into its customary bun as she went. It was an odd feeling, knowing she was about to go outside of the institute's borders. Maybe the Head Doctor was about to make an error and the shinigami, as well as

"Today's the day, Mr. Flynn." The first thing he found rather out of place was the set of clothes she had in her possession. Before the Nobody could ask exactly what was in the mess the pile was quickly shoved into his hands. Of course, decency and dignity were non-existent in this hospital, quickly dressing and tapping the tips of his shoes once he got them on. The attire was plain at best, a faded pair of jeans with a normal shirt and a worn green argyle sweater to finish the picture. However, having worn nothing but that godforsaken uniform ever since he arrived, Axel couldn't find it in him to complain.
Still somewhat bleary-eyed, he was soon escorted out the room, giving a fleeting glance at Ashton before he was herded down the Hallway and out of the door. If all went well then his roommate's wounds would heal within a few days time, but it'd still hurt like hell.
It wasn't until he actually stepped on the bus, juice box and muffin at hand, did he remember about the trip the head doctor had been boasting about yesterday. Well at least they were getting some change in scenery.
Only a blind person couldn't see that familiar shade of red seated near the front, his groggy expression dissipating into a tired grin before he wandered over to the latter and flopped down next to her.
"So I see it was a girl's night out last night."

Girl’s night out? Kairi tilted her head to the side as she tried to think of what he was talking about. It took her only a few seconds to remember the night, and the fact how her and the other girls had all been in the bathroom when Axel has randomly strode in. “What were you doing in the girl’s bathroom anyway? Isn’t that almost like a taboo? You’re lucky I didn’t beat you over the head!”
Giggling softly, she played with her scarf, wrapping it around her neck a second time. “What about you? How’d your night go?”
Releasing her scarf, Kairi shoved the straw from the back of the juice box into the small hole, and brought the straw to her lips, swallowing a mouthful of juice as she waited for his answer.

Blood wasn't exactly the best thing to down some pills with. Fortunately the basins in the patient rooms weren't affected by this so it wasn't like the scenario was a hopeless one. Axel followed Kairi's lead and stabbed his straw into his juice box, blowing a good bit of air in the container before letting its contents spill into his mouth.
"My night?" He repeated after setting the box on his lap, stroking his chin while trying to find a good answer. "Well, it wasn't boring, that's for sure. But it wasn't exactly one I'd call ideal either."
Axel let himself slump against his seat, absent-mindedly watching people wander into the bus and take their seats. "Someone I knew had it pretty bad in that experimentation hall, so I had to play hero along with a few other people."

Though, the grin faded off of her face when the redheaded man began to speak about his night. Or, rather, the night of an acquaintance. “Oh, no …” Her voice came out a low whisper as her hands grasped tightly onto the juice box, her blue-violet eyes staring downwards. “Are they …”
Kairi let the sentence hang silently for a moment before she answered, turning her worried gaze back up to Axel’s face. “Are they in one piece?”
Having gone through the horrible experimentation herself as well as hearing about the horrifying things that were done to the people, she never knew if something utterly horrible had happened or if something worse had gone on. For all she knew the person had had his foot cut off - and in that case, he would not have been okay.
Kairi’s eyes darted over Axel’s body for a moment, trying to spot anything that looked like a bandage or something. At least he looked okay on the outside.

But maybe that wasn't the case. Telling from the injuries Ashton sustained, it looked like they were aiming to probe at his brain. The medulla obviously wasn't touched if the latter was still breathing, yet he couldn't exactly ask his roommate to point where he'd been touched since he was strapped face down. Alas, conundrums weren't the best thing to ponder about with an exhausted mind, so Axel quickly steered the conversation in another direction.
"You know, Princess if you're going to check me out then at least be a little more discrete about it." He smirked, crumbling a piece of muffin into his hand before popping it in his mouth.

At Axel’s comment, the once Princess let out a rather unladylike snort. The snort was then accompanied by a roll of her eyes, and she leaned back in her seat, her arms crossing over her chest while the juice box and the muffin sat in her lap. “Well, excuse me for worrying if you were hurt!”
Turning towards Axel once again, Kairi stuck out her tongue and turned to look out the window.
Though, after a few seconds of silence, she turned back towards her friend with a smile. “So, what are your plans for the day? I mean, other than probably eating so much food you’ll finally hit 400 pounds.”
Reply
"400 pounds? Please, I'm the epitome of physical perfection." Or more like so thin that someone could snap him in half just by sitting on him, but it was one in the same anyway. Kairi did pose a good question, however, one that left the redhead glancing over at the window and at the people that were being escorted into the other buses.
"Escaping should probably be my top priority, but I don't think that's likely." And he didn't know about everyone else, but he'd like to enjoy his day off drug-free.
"What about you, Princess? Got any cute boys you're planning to hang with?

“Perfection, right. That was the word I was really looking for. Thank you for correcting me.” Letting out a laugh, Kairi finished off her juice box and prodded at her muffin when Axel started to speak again.
Turning her head and narrowing her eyes at Axel, Kairi lifted up a hand to prod him gently in the arm. “Would you stop calling me Princess already? You know my name!”
Retracting her hand away from Axel, she ran her fingers through her shoulder length hair, combing it for a few seconds before answering. “Anyway, I also don’t know what I’m doing. I was planning on just wandering around and exploring, but that’s pretty much as far as my plans have gone.”
She hadn’t seen Sora since last afternoon, so she didn’t know what his plans were. No one else she knew was on the bus anyway, so she didn’t know what to do.
But just then, a plan formed in her head, and she turned to Axel with a smile.
“Why don’t you wander around with me? I’ll stop you from getting sedated and all that fun stuff.”

Upon the redhead's suggestion Axel thought about it, letting the question hang for a good minute before finally responding.
"Why not? Maybe we can find a way to toss Sora into a dumpster without them catching us." Of course, with Kairi watching his every move that idea was unlikely, but maybe he'd be able to find a way to coerce her into doing it with him. Though in reality, he had no idea what the town was going to be like, but judging from the buses they were being crammed into he'd like to think that they'd at least be somewhat technological.
"Actually, I brought up a good point. Why aren't you gong to hang with Sora or Riku instead?"
Reply
At the mention of Riku and Sora, a sad smile crossed her face, and she shrugged her shoulders. “I haven’t seen Sora since yesterday afternoon, so I don’t know if he’d want to hang out. I mean, I’m sure he has things to do and I wouldn’t want to get in his way and all that.”
Kairi shut her eyes at the mention of Riku, a sigh escaping her lips. “I haven’t seen Riku for over a day now, so I doubt he’d want to hang out. I don’t even know where he is.”
Quickly tossing off her smile, Kairi forced herself to grin, leaning towards Axel with amused eyes. “And you’re not going to throw Sora anywhere, understand? A dumpster isn’t the same as the ocean, you know.”

The redhead wasn't too comfortable about the way the conversation was turning, shifting uneasily and chose not to comment on Riku's portion of the story. However, Axel grinned at Kairi's last statement, shrugging lazily at her comeback. The thought of tackling Sora into a dumpster was an amusing one, but there were cleaner things he could do to tease the brunet.
"Figures that girls like you would ruin all my fun. Maybe I should change my mind and you can wander around on your own."

Snorting, Kairi turned towards Axel once more with a faux-pout, and she looked up at him through her lashes with sad eyes. “Oh, fine. If you don’t want to hang out with me, I’ll understand. I don’t want to force you to hang around with someone you don’t even like …” Turning her head to the side, she let out a pretend shuddered sigh and lifted her hand to rib at her dry eyes.
Pretending to cry was her strong point, after all.
After a few moments of this charade, Kairi turned back to Axel with a smile. “But really. Do you want to walk around with me or not?”

However, his finger drooped when Kairi began her own sob act, watching the master at its work before rolling his eyes with much exaggeration. He had to admit, the girl was good, and if he didn't already know about her wickedly demonic side then he would've been pretty fooled with her act.
"I haven't got any qualms about it," Axel answered with a playful shrug. "As long as you don't drag me anywhere particularly girly then there isn't much for me to complain about."

“You know,” The young girl started, her fingers lifting up once again to press against the glass in a curious way, “I’ve never really seen anything like fall before. We didn’t really have different seasonal changes on the island other than hot, really hot, or melt your face off hot.”
By this time Kairi realized she was babbling and quickly shut her mouth. Turning away from the window, she looked down at her lap sadly; a twinge of homesickness began to burn in her heart.
Suddenly forcing herself to pop out of her personal woeboat, Kairi turned to Axel and tilted her head to the side and opened her mouth once again in an attempt to change the conversation. “Do you want my muffin?”
Reply
"Anyway, you're going to regret it once you do get hungry." The redhead warned, stealing another bite from the muffin before balancing it on one leg. There wasn't much else to talk about when it came to what they did and what they'll do, so Axel was quick to throw in another subject.
"I wish I brought a deck of cards." He sighed out as he shifted his weight on the seat. "At least we could play strip poker before we got there."
Reply
At his comment about strip poker, the once Princess rolled her eyes before proceeding to glare daggers at the redhead. “Geez, what is it with you and trying to get me to take my shirt off? First it was two nights ago when you were all ‘oh, why don’t we take our shirts off and kiss!’, and now this!” Leaning back in her seat, Kairi crossed her arms over her chest as a soft blush began to cover her cheeks. “Boys are so weird.”
Turning to look back at Axel once she was sure her cheeks were back to normal, Kairi tilted her head to the side and frowned. “You could always ask Luxord for some cards, you know. Or steal them.”
