((From here. ))

His companions had chosen precisely the right thing to comment about. Adelheid had used his spear when fighting that monstrosity of a thunder-bird, and it had proven a tremendous downfall. Considering that he'd been forced to spend quite a few days trying to find healers to repair the damage... yes, that was still fresh in Adelheid ( Read more... )

"Electrical burns are quite difficult to treat. It burns not only the skin but a sufficient electrical current causes internal tissue burns as well, effectively cooking the flesh and causing tissue damage... the effects are even worse if you are sweating or wet, as the electrical resistance of the skin decreases, dropping from about ten thousand ohms to merely one thousand." There were also other factors that played into electrical damage, but he was not an expert in that area ( ... )

...William paid little attention to Wesker's complete analysis of electrical burns and instead kept his thoughts centered on this beast despite his earlier attempts to focus on the mission at hand, the creature was too fascinating Their guide had not answered his question to his satisfaction, unfortunately. There was no way to know if this creature was found indoors or outdoors (or perhaps both?) and this consequently lead to the inability to find it.

To say that William was displeased would have been an understatement. Yet asking again so soon would imply interest (which Wesker would undoubtedly lecture him on leading to having to listen to it until he either lost his voice unlikely, but plausible or he attracted a monster from the noise. Both very attractive results).

On the bright side, he had managed to learn something of this boy. 'Full strength'. He was another of those individuals with extraordinary abilities, was he?

Krauser failed to make Birkin's day by playing along with Wesker's love for show and tell. He didn't pick up anything too close, after all, and there was a chance they'd meet something. His voice came as a low, grating rumble from the back of the group. "So what happens if we knock it out of the air and throw water on it?"

He was personally betting on its being at least distracting, if not entertaining.

Adelheid quietly chuckled as he heard the other blond man's analysis of the situation. In essence, he was correct- though Adelheid noted the use of 'ohms,' which indicated that the man had to be from a world roughly equivalent to Adelheid's own. Similar systems of measurement, similar points of reference, or something to that effect. "All of that is true enough," Adelheid allowed, "but my talents allow me to reflect such attacks- even here, I have enough power to do such things. As for water? I wouldn't know; I don't believe there's any around here to test the matter, either." No, the scent of blood was starting to filter through the walls, and for Adelheid? It made him feel light-headed, feeling something slithering through his mind. Blood... it always came to blood, didn't it?

Still, he really couldn't count on himself to break down the door at the end of the hall, at which barrier he paused. "This door is locked, as is the one immediately behind it; but it shouldn't take too much to break down."
