Armand didn't like the man's voice from the air. He sounded cruel, even when he was trying to sound nice during the day. Oh well, not that it mattered to the evil doctor if Armand liked him or not

Jade had already memorized the map by the time he made it out of the room, so he strode down the hall with the usual air of all-knowingness that he managed to carry with him at all times. He chose to traverse about in the dark for now, as it would do him no good if he was spotted by whatever creatures that dwelled in the hall.
Even though he hadn't experienced any fatigue or heaviness in his chest, Jade chose to follow his Majesty's words and hold off any experimental fonic arte for now. If it were indeed true, it would've been best to use them at a time where it was most necessary.
Still, he was curious, long fingers clenching into a loose fist for a moment's time before he allowed them to rest.
Recluse turned first into the hallway where Riddick should be. Kimbley had said there would be a slight delay, and Sparda was in an entirely different cell block. This was an incredibly inefficient way to track down everyone, but he didn't have much of a choice. M 78... Recluse knocked on the door quietly, then stood back, waiting for a response.
Haku stood silently behind both of the larger men, keeping watch for danger. He was used to being ignored, though it still hurt, just a bit. He pushed it aside and kept his mind on the task at hand.
Riddick opened the door and stepped out, quite surprised to see the kid from the sun room standing with Richter and someone else. Definitely more to that kid than meets the eye. Riddick nodded to Richter, but he had this odd feeling... that he should be ripping the guy's lungs out. What the fuck? It felt like something foreign was in his mind, clawing at all the dark corners. At least his grey matter was rejecting the odd feeling of despair, but it was defaulting to something more akin to wrath. Jesus Christ, this place is more fucked up than I thought.
He greeted Richter with forced calm. "Hey, some weird shit in the air tonight, or is this normal?"
The transition from day to night was perhaps one of the more interesting aspects of this facility, William had decided. The lights went out, the scary doctor monologued and the brave souls trapped within were forced to make their way. It was almost like a storybook and William had always liked bedtime stories for their monsters.
Speaking of which. The doctor smiled cruelly as his roommate finally left, reveling in the privacy of the room to relax for a moment before work was to be done. Acts of kindness were always tiresome, it was a pity he was in such a position where they was necessary.
Oh well, it was time to work now. Pushing himself to his feet, William quickly retrieved his flashlight before slipping his journal beneath his mattress and making his way to the door.
Hijikata was only half-listening to the welcome. It was - disconcerting. Not intimidating as it was obviously meant to be, but familiar in that he understood this was a game to whoever it was, and he was a part of it whether he agreed or not. He was starting to understand, but not fully, and he soon turned his thoughts to more pressing dangers.
He'd wrapped his hands for melee and brought some 'pens' along as short-range weaponry, but there were no monsters so far and he moved on out of the hallway to meet Homura...
