Day 26: Group Therapy [LUNCH]

Aug 14, 2007 08:08

The nurse assigned for the next session of group therapy was a kindly, older woman, running a bit to the plump side. Her hair, long gone grey, was done up in a neat bun. (It was more difficult for violent patients to grab, that way, among other things.) She made certain to arrive at the room early, just to make certain that everything was neat and ( Read more... )

Rukia was surprised, and worried, when the nurse escorting her out of the sun room led her away from the cafeteria, mentioning how 'Shiori' had a group therapy session during lunch, but that there would be plenty to eat, don't you worry. The room was carpeted in white, with a red rug in the middle, and a little glass table. A loose circle of chairs and couches were set around the room, and the nurse from this morning was there, as well ( ... )

The nurse smiled. "I'm sorry, dear, but we have plenty of yummy things to eat here. We haven't a new doctor for you yet, so you really do need to be here." There was a slight glint of steel in her eyes as she continued. "And you were ever so interested in speaking with a doctor, dear. I'm afraid I'll have to suffice, but we can address your concerns just fine."

She indicated the chair to her right. "Please sit."

Alucard was still, in quite a placid state to allow himself to be steered away from the cafeteria and down another different hall. He may, or may not have went down the same corridor during night shift, making a mental note to draw out the floor plan when he had the free time. They directed him to a room, led him in and left.

With no Integral. Alucard felt a bit lonely.

So, with a rather languid expression and air, he took a seat in front of the nurse, even if the chair was a bit too small for him. For once, he didn't feel like tearing the staff member's head off, opting to just watch the woman lazily instead.

[Coming from the thread above.]

"Yes, ma'am," Rukia muttered, unable to look the nurse directly in the eye.

Fighting back the urge to search for Renji's spirit thread again - he was fine for now, probably in his room - Rukia shuffled over to a large, soft armchair. She glanced at the tall, lanky man with black hair; she had seen him around, but never spoken to him before. And given her current mood, she didn't want to talk to him now, either. Easing into the chair so as not to bother her ribs, Rukia tucked her legs up and tried to look less distressed than she felt.

((OOC: So sorry, I was kind of half dead last night. I'm off to a swamp now though, won't be able to post for about...3-7 hours.))

The girl looked familiar, as did everyone in the veritable sea of faces he had to face every morning and afternoon, and still...Alucard didn't know her name. And since she didn't actually try to start a conversation, he wouldn't try and speak to her either.

"...will there be others, or is it just us?" he drawled, clearly bored.

ZEX was a little reluctant to be missing out on lunch for something that he hadn't had the best experience with in the past. There were some things about him that couldn't be changed, or wouldn't be changed, merely to make everyone else feel more comfortable around him. There was nothing wrong with him, it was just everyone else's closed-mindedness that made him an outcast.

Well...this gave him the opportunity to interact with humans again on a more intimate level, and while he had no faith in whoever was going to be conducting the therapy, he saw no reason to take it out on whoever would be roped into it as well.

"Excuse me..." ZEX said softly as he tried to thread his way through the chairs, nearly stumbling and falling. Cursed clumsy human body. He tried to salvage whatever dignity he had left and sat down, pressing one hand over an eye hard. This was so frustrating...he hoped the vertigo and double vision would stop soon.
