It was pretty weird how Allen's eye kept reacting to things that technically weren't Akuma - at least, not the kind they were used to back in their world. At least it looked like Allen was dealing with that okay. But the guy, Ichigo, was 'different from the others'? Ravi glanced at Allen curiously at that remark.
Well, Ichigo did seem to be sort of on the cranky side, whereas Rukia sounded as nice as she had based on her bulletin board responses and according to Allen.
Ravi turned his attention back to Allen when he spoke up again. Quartz, but no luck finding a key, huh? He had no idea what significance the quartz held or where Allen had gotten hold of it, but a key could be useful around here, if certain areas were locked - of course, there'd probably be several different keys for each different place.
The map, on the other hand, looked like it could come in handy. "Pretty nice of the guy," Ravi remarked, throwing a glance at the piece of paper Allen had taken out.
Standing around here wasn't going to get them that far when it came to checking out more of that floor to finish mapping it out, though, so Ravi pushed himself away from the wall to head after the others once Rukia led the way. They could always do their talking while they did that. It wasn't difficult multi-tasking.
"I'm guessing we're gonna head up from here, right?" Ravi spoke up again when they paused near the stairs, opting for stating what seemed to be the obvious partly because he didn't really feel like letting silence settle while they wandered around in the almost-dark. Then again, if they were quiet, they probably had better chances of listening for anything around them - he kept his voice down for that.
"I left it back in my room," Allen admitted when asked about the quartz. He hoped he'd done the right thing. "I thought it would be safer there, in case we run into anything."
In spite of Rukia's explanation, it was hard not to be a little unnerved by Ichigo's constant scowl. He tried his best to be friendly though and kept a slight smile on his face as they trudged up the hallway and then the stairs.
