here] After closing the door silently behind him, Albel headed further outside as he kept his eyes perked for any noises. For as far as he could see without a flashlight, the field was still empty. No Triangle-face, no monsters, no stupid distractions. GoodThe maggot still had to show up, it seemed. But the Elicoorian was early

“Such a fascination with insects,” he murmured while watching the shifting of his prey’s body. It was obvious that they were readying themselves for battle, and he wasn’t one to deny such a chance at Chaos given the situation. Tightening the grip he held on the knives, the glinting of metal could be seen in the moonlight as Yuber held the blade elegantly up before his chest.
How long would this one survive up against him was a question he’d soon find the answer to, and as the knife he held in his other hand drew back behind his body, Yuber’s sharp gaze turned deadly as he regarded his prey. “Perhaps I should show you what this worm can do them hmm?” The black knight murmured in amusement, before he leapt forward in a blink of an eye and slashed out towards Albel’s chest with the knife held in his right hand.

Almost immediately, the Elicoorian lunged forward to his opponent's right, lashing out with his knife.

Sidestepping out to the left, the knight narrowly missed the attack. Their reflexes were rather impressive, and Yuber held no doubt that this little human would have far more to show him before he grew bored of this little battle.
“Quite an impressive little show you’re giving me so far.” The knight murmured. His expression shifted into one of near sadistic amusement as Yuber’s movements remained graceful and refined. His sharp gaze flickered up as a deadly smirk highlighted the knights features. Without pause, his left hand snapped out in an attempt to impale his weapon into his prey’s side as his other moved to engage Albel’s own blade. “Time will tell if you’re able to continue on such a path.”

In the corner of his eye, he spotted the incoming blade. Despite his attempt to try and dodge the incomming attack, he felt a sudden pain in his side as the knife tore through skin. He inwardly cursed as he moved out of harm's way, crimson eyes looking down at the fresh wound in his side. It bled, but thanks to his dodge attempt it wasn't too deep.
His gaze shifted back to the other man. "Hmph, it seems you're more of a challenge than I thought you were, maggot." he scoffed. "But you're still going to pay for that."

With a slight twist of his attacking knife, Yuber withdrew the blade from within his prey’s side as he murmured. “It is a sign of weakness to underestimate your opponent until you’ve clashed blades, but that’s a common trait I’ve found in the human race.” The taunt was only accented with the amused expression as he reached up and moved to knock his opponent back before taking a small leap away himself.
Twirling the blades effortlessly within his grasp, he tightly held the handles within his grasp as the blades stretched out a few inches back parallel with his forearms, as the sharp edge of the blades faced away from his body. Standing tall, the black knight looked down onto his opponent as he smirked. “Come now, don’t make me wait too long for whatever pitiful payback you believe you can give.”

When the shift finally came - and his opponent changed the direction of their attack - Yuber’s reactions were instant as he turned his body away from the attacking blade. There seemed to be some skill in this one if they managed to be this fast against him. It was just unfortunate for his prey that he was currently without his armour, and didn’t have anything to weigh himself down. Not that it would have changed his abilities much at all, but it made the knight far faster on his feet as he leapt himself out of their blades reach.
“It seems as though you hold at least an ounce of skill within you.” Yuber murmured as he twirled the blades around in his hands; readying himself for another attack before he leapt in to swipe against his opponents chest again.

Albel cursed under his breath as his opponent leaped away, his blade merely cutting through tin air. Replying to said maggot's comment with a 'hmph', he instantly leaped to the side to avoid the in-coming swipe. However, the captain wasted no time to attempt a counter, thrusting his knife into the direction of his opponent.

His fingers brushed against warm flesh, and as they wrapped themselves tightly around the tender throat of his victim, the black knight knocked the single blade from out of Albel’s wrist. Dropping his weapon down to join his little preys, Yuber wasted no time as that hand snapped out to tightly take hold of the shorter patient’s wrist in a vice like grip. Pulling Albel up until his face met with his opponents, the black knight’s expression darkened in amusement as he purred. “It seems as though this little dance of ours is coming to its conclusion.”

"Hmph, cowering out already, worm?"
However, the maggot had seemingly forgotten Albel still had two legs attached to his body. Summoning all the strength he could, he launched his knee straight into his enemy's stomach.
The fool would be an extremely skilled warrior if he could dodge this, which the Elicoorian doubted.

It was a wonder these two hadn't attracted any predators yet. Though that was about to change quite soon.
The grass wasn't very tall, but under the cover of darkness, it was enough to hide the giant, slithering body. The snake's forked tongue tasted the air, flickering in and out between gleaming, wicked fangs that would put any vampire to shame.
As it approached warm flesh, its cold reptile body began coiling - loosely, at first - around the nearest patient's legs, its head eventually rising up to snap at its prey's face while it finally began to constrict its hold.

Whatever was going to be said in response was forgotten however as he sensed the attacks too late to avoid them. There was the rare sensation of pain exploding against his stomach as he grunted, and as his grip around Albel’s wrist faltered, Yuber couldn’t help but stumble forward a step. This pitiful human dared to assault him?! The entertainment he felt within instantly turned into fury at the thought, and as he pushed the assaulting limb aside, Yuber sensed the attack of another nearby.
His gaze snapped down as he caught a flash of movement by his feet. Yuber instantly turned his attention away from the patient in his grasp, and as he absently tossed Albel away from him, the black knight left hand shot down to grab the reptile tightly just below its skull. His miscoloured eyes narrowed in annoyance as Yuber realised that his pleasure of this battle had been taken from him, and while the feeling of that thick body wrapping itself around his legs, the black knight held the reptile unrelentingly.
“You really shouldn’t have done that.” Yuber growled to the snake as the distorted chime of his rune sounded across the field. At the highest pitch of the ring, a dim green image of a lightning bolt appeared above the knight’s head shortly before white cracks of electricity seared its way out from the palm of Yuber’s hand and along the serpent’s long body.

The captain's back hit the ground, but he refused to lay down for long. He climbed to his feet and saw the over sized snake wrapping itself around his opponent's legs.
Realization hit him like cold water; he had been saved by some stupid reptile, only to be left ignored. No, he hadn't been saved! He would have managed fine even without a certain worm's (almost in the literal sense) meddling. Even though the Wicked One did nothing to either help or attack Yuber, he watched as the serpent was hit with a lightning bolt.
Albel didn't waste any time to take the opportunity and locate his weapon. The knife was easily found, and after the Elicoorian was once again holding it in his remaining hand he returned his attention to the two maggots. He wasn't going to bother saving his opponent, however. If he was stupid enough to be killed, he was not worth saving.

And lucky for Albel, who'd been about to become the meal of a second snake, the creature now ignored its initial prey in favour of what it perceived to be an already trapped and helpless one.
Looking almost identical to the first, the other snake launched itself at the nearest area it could latch onto - the patient's arm, incidentally - hoping its teeth would hook into some flesh. It wasted no time trying to continue its dead partner's work, tail already beginning to coil and constrict.
