It was definitely a good thing that Tear had tracked him down, seeing how she'd had a wealth of interesting information for him. Granted, a lot of it he could have guessed himself, especially the details about Landel's capabilities, but it was always good to have it confirmed by a trustworthy source

To save strength, he'd decided to sleep in past breakfast. The nurse had been huffy, but she eventually left him alone. When Claire woke again, it was noon and a new nurse was at the door, informing him that it was lunch time. Claire hardly listened, instead throwing himself out of bed and out the door before the nurse had even finished. He needed to contact this Utena again if he wanted to go back to the basement tonight.
The first thing he did upon receiving his sack lunch (chicken, because grilled cheese just wasn't as satisfying) and relieving himself of his bothersome nurse's presence was to check the bulletin board. He didn't recognize any of the posts as by Miss Utena's hand (or what he thought he remembered as her handwriting, anyway), so he quickly wrote up two notes and posted them.
It was apparently a free-range lunch shift today, which differed from their usual routine, but Claire wasn't complaining. Where did he want to go now? He hadn't been outside in a while, hadn't he? His nurse had informed him he could go out to the courtyard or the recreation field, right? Why not? He could do with some air once in a while.
After asking a nearest nurse for directions to the recreation field, Claire headed outside into the cold. Well, it was winter, after all. He didn't mind it much and instead, focused on searching for a spot to eat his lunch, but was distracted by a commotion. A young woman was apparently yelling at thin air... well, okay, strange, but hey, he recognized her, right? He thought he did.
He headed over in her direction, catching up to her about when she reached a nearby tree.
"Hey, I know you!" he announced. Because it was true, he did! He just didn't remember from exactly when!
[Hope this is alright!]

Hey, I know you!
A smile she hadn't intended escaped her face as she turned about to find a red-head coming up behind her. She blinked at him, trying herself to remember where they'd met since she also thought she knew him. In this place it was always so hard to keep up with all whos and whens and whats... but she didn't want to be rude. "Ah, yes? Hello."

... Mop! Or something related to a mop! And cleaning, maybe. Cleaning? When had that happened? Ah, well, the important part was that he knew this lady and she was now going to be his conversation partner.
"Hi," he greeted again. "I don't remember when and how I met you, but I recognized you! I was wondering why you were yelling at the air. It seemed kind of strange!"
