> Rose: Contemplate wizardly robes
She couldn't contemplate wizardly robes, except in the abstract, since neither wizards nor robes were on display. Their armor, however, was another matter. If wizards ever stooped to wearing armor, that was, but what else could this egregiously florid and flowing suit be? Not to mention the missing chinstrap for beardly egress. Daring to challenge the one, be he man or troll or of a heretofore unknown nature, wrapped in mists and shadows, would be a task to daunt any would-be hero. Except for the part where the armor was empty, the eye sockets long-dark. His crossed wands were dipped in blood, though whether his own or not Rose could not say.
She looked up, her attention rapt by the sight, sparing only the most minute notice for the other eight suits of armor and their equally unlikely armaments.
"I take it this is the physical aspect to the challenge." Brains and brawn, Lalonde could claim them both. So could Ilia; Gamzee was, as always, the wild card.
