Night 59: Activities Shed

[from here]Even though the temperature in the shed was not much different from the field's, Niikura could honestly say that he had never been more grateful for a roof in his life. He turned on his flashlight as he went in, shivering in the cold air, and briefly resting his sword against a wall so that he could try to rub some feeling back into his ( Read more... )

Mike had never really had the delightful opportunity to be in soaking wet clothes, and he hoped to never have the chance to do so ever again. Water and rain didn't bother him as much as he did when he was a turtle--you just got used to it, after a while--but this body complained it was cold in a way that was all too foreign. "I'd rather be stuck out in the storm than stuck here where we're cornered rats," Mike shook his head. "There's only one way in or out."

He picked up one aluminum bat only to shove it down the back of his uniform and go for another. It was a bit awkward, but with his shirt tucked in, it wasn't going anywhere. The bat would make it harder for him to bend over, which was exactly what he was used to. He grabbed a second one.

"Got any other ideas on where we can get some 'goodies', Niikura?" Mike asked, turning his gaze to the most 'senior' member of the team in terms of time at the Institute. "I'm good with followin' you."
