[OOC: Starting in room M33.]

Usopp was terribly confused. The first announcement before bedtime had made some sense, but the second one... and then that click, like something unlocking. He'd noticed the nurses locked him in before (which made perfect sense if this were an insane asylum,) but now he was free to go? It sounded like a disgruntled employee, maybe the man who ran the intercom system wasn't paid well. Whatever, it also meant Usopp had a perfect chance by cover of night to get out of this place and figure out where he was and where the Merry was.

He'd almost walked out the door in just his smilie shirt and pants when a thought fortunately struck him. Even if some disgruntled guy had unlocked all the doors, surely the nurses were going to be working double-time to round up wandering patients? He might have a little bit of a struggle in store, although still easier than a daytime escape. Stepping back into his room, he began to look through every desk drawer, in the closet, and under the bed. He left the other side of the room alone, since technically all of the stuff on his own side ought to be his anyway as a patient, right? The dresser he left alone, just in case.

Soon he wore another set of smilie shirts and pants (so he wouldn't get scraped up if he had to climb over any walls,) and an overlarge coat with thirty ink pens and a rubber band, a heavy metal stick that shone light when he pressed the button, a couple of smaller metal sticks, a metal box with speakers which he assumed was something like the overhead broadcast system (maybe the dendenmushi was inside?,) a metal ring and a book all stuffed into it awkwardly. At last he was ready, and stepped out into the hall.

Outside, he could see other patients already on the move, and got a little nervous. So he wasn't the only one who'd woken up at the voice and decided to make a break for it? W-what if they were dangerous? He stood in front of his door, glancing up and down the hallway with increasing concern, but not quite moving to talk to anyone yet.
