Night 59: Main Hallway, 1-West

Kirk ran into the main hallway and found nothing there except more pink light coating everything. His gut feeling said that if something was happening, it should've happened already, but he was a loss to explain what was going on. The system (if he could call it that, vague as it was to describe the whole Landel's torture/

It didn't seem like anything was going to dampen Rita's mood... but as usual, the monkey-tailed boy seemed to take that as a challenge, showing up late, loud, and of all things, pantless.

Without a moment's hesitation, Rita stepped forward and gave the kid's head a smack with her knuckles. "What do you think you're doing, showing up looking like that!?" she snapped, then stepped away in disgust. "Actually, I don't want to know. Just don't get too close to me."

She glanced back to Taura. "Going after Aguilar?" It was a surprising proposition, but her lips soon curled into an approving smirk. "Sounds like a plan. I don't know how, but it looks like my magic's back to full strength. So long as nothing gets the drop on me, I can take out as many monsters as he's got." And that wasn't an exaggeration.

Taura's situation would complicate things, possibly. Rita noted where the stunner was placed (wait, they'd have to reach in there if they had to stop her!?), and nodded, eyes narrowing slightly. She was confident she could protect herself if Taura did lose control, however. Rita had a few tricks for dealing with close-range assaults, and hopefully the woman wouldn't hold it against her if she ended up using them.

"Anyway, if things get bad, we still have a convenient escape route," she added, raising her hand to show the portal ring on her finger. Not that she expected the institute to have anything she couldn't handle. With her magic, she was practically unstoppable.

"Who's Agoola--Owwah!" Goku didn't even see it coming! That head of his was thick enough to stop a bullet, but that didn't mean it felt nice! He rubbed the top of his crown with a scowl until the ache went away. "They ripped," he explained despite her protest just moments before. Had he known his strength would suddenly come flooding back tonight, the monkey boy would have been a bit more careful. Maybe.

"So who's this Agoolar?" His vacant black eyes shifted from Rita to Taura and back, waiting for a response. "Is he a good fighter?!" He must be if all three of them needed each other to take him down. This would be so much fun! Well, unless Taura started munching on one of them. Tilting his head, the young boy stared at her and saw nothing evident that she would change. Then again, he could barely tell men and women apart.

"Don't worry! I can just hit ya with my nyoibo. It gets longer," Goku assured without a demonstration.

Who's this Aguilar? And what is a nyoibo.

On second thought, do I really want to know the answer to that second question? He'd regained some sort of magic, possibly destroying his pants in the process, and how that worked was his own business.

She answered the question honestly. "He's the one who's in charge of keeping us all trapped here. Problem is, we don't know where he's gone, except that he might be going after Martin Landel. And we don't know where he is, either, except that at one point he was hiding out in the mountains or the woods."

Taura had only been outside once, and that hadn't panned out, but there were four directions to head in even on land. "I'm just me. No magic, no...nyoibo." Assuming she could stay Taura, of course, but she was going to try.

Either way, they needed to head up the hall. Taura started walking down it.
