Kirk ran into the main hallway and found nothing there except more pink light coating everything. His gut feeling said that if something was happening, it should've happened already, but he was a loss to explain what was going on. The system (if he could call it that, vague as it was to describe the whole Landel's torture/ ( Read more... )

From the way things were looking, it really did seem like Aguilar was more in trouble here than the patients were. The alarms wouldn't have gone off for no reason, right? And there also had to be a reason why this strange pink glow was everywhere. There were more monsters around than usual, but if people were getting their abilities back - something Byrne still wasn't understanding but wouldn't ask about right now - then they could deal with those monsters much more easily than before, he was hoping.

The prosecutor looked back up at Renamon when she asked her question and, after pausing to think it over for a brief moment, nodded his head in agreement. "Alright." With one mild objection, that he only made clear through a worried expression. She wouldn't allow any harm to come to him? No offense, but shouldn't that be his job? He was obviously older than she was, and even though he wasn't a fighter, he was at least knowledgeable enough to know how to use a gun properly. If it had to be one of them that got mauled by a hideous monster, he would rather it be him.

...A thought relating to his death then crossed his mind, but he forced himself to drop it instantly. No. Can't think about that after that argument with Badd. Back to reality, Faraday. He shifted his weight anxiously and looked at the other patient with curiosity. "Where to, though?" She seemed like she had a plan in mind.

The worried expression she couldn't place, and in the end only attributed to the changes of the night. Byrne read as civilian, and moreof, wholly human. Even Renamon in her half-state was more apt to protect like this. She nodded back to him seriously, then only blinked at his question. To answer so easily... Would give away the surprise. He hadn't been around for that night, had he?

As a reply, she delicately reached out and touched one of the man's hands. Her other hand slid into the pocket her ring was in and retrieved it, then pressed it firmly against the wall.
