Peter left the room thinking very deep thoughts. Most of which entailed speculation on the origins of the pink glow he had just been assaulted by. As much as he hated himself for it, he couldn't help but keep coming back to the Matrix. Maybe they just changed something. Turned the halls into mazes.

They were back.
It was almost as though he’d suddenly flicked on a light switch; the initial shock, those first fumbling seconds while his eyes became accustomed to the brightness, and then, finally, total clarity. That feeling he’d had- that hadn’t just been unease. It had been ki energy.

The Kaioshin’s breathing became increasingly unsteady; slowly, he raised a clammy and shaking hand to his forehead, stretched out two fingers, and squeezed his eyes shut. Think of the hall. Locate it. Home in on it. This was crazy, there was no way it was going to work, how could he possibly think they’d let him-
“Kai-kai-!”
He vanished.
