Alarms blasted through the stagnant air as the intercom breathed warnings and pressed commands. "Code Red" was an obvious moniker for an emergency measure, the extent of which Tear soon discovered. The walls, the furniture, the floor, even the handle across the doorway--they were instantly covered with a pink sheen. Examining the phenomenon brought nothing in terms of sense, though Tear had a feeling it existed as a barrier. From what remained to be seen.
Before she could caution her roommate and perhaps offer a suggestion for the night, Shiina took to the hallway, leaving a perplexed Tear to stare at the door. For a moment, of course. With her equipment in tow, the soldier stepped into the corridor herself, eyes searching for danger.
To feel something altogether familiar.
In the blink of an eye, there was a rush of fonons. In the air. Beneath her skin. Passing through her fon slots. The same old reservoir of power resonated in the environment and all around her, as if Earth had a Planet Storm of its own, and Landel had simply hidden it from them all this time. Until now. The young woman purse her lips, wondering on her next moves.
Duties. Right. She had a loan to return, a reunion to experience, and people to protect. The shifts in the environment did nothing to change those. Swiftly, Tear moved down the hallway.
