Anise had only just finished taking inventory of her collected medicine when she heard the telltale sound of the door unlocking. Since this wasn't the first time night had started without any words from the General, she didn't think much of it. She didn't have any answers no matter how far she thought back. Shou hadn't given her much to go by and his word was the one she cherished above all others. He wouldn't lie to her or put her life in danger on a whim. Those were the only cold, hard facts she had, and she clinged to them like a lifeline. She just had to trust in Shou. In his word that he wanted her along for the night, and that they would look for a weapon together.
Eager to prove she wasn't just going to be a tagalong anymore, Shiina waved goodbye to Tear and stepped out of their shared room into the dark hallway. "Sorry, wasn't watchin' where I was goin'--" Oh wait, that hair.
"Oh! Heh, got antsy waitin' for me, Nagasawa?" What was she doing outside of her room anyway? He'd warned her, right? To stay inside until he came?

And then she almost did smash into someone. She ducked her head and was attempting to sidestep them with only a quiet "sorry" when the sound of his voice stopped her. Throwing her head back in surprise, Shiina nearly gasped in relief.
"Ni-Niikura-san!" And already he was making light of the situation, but perhaps that was better than dwelling on the fear. It certainly put her at ease. "I was... going to see if I could save you some time. We can get started right away."

"Ah...okay. Let's get goin' then." He held out his hand (or arm, whichever she felt like holding more) for her to take. "Stick close by, alright? Tonight's got a funny feelin' to it."
