Day 59: Intercom, Noon
The intercom's jingle came a beat behind the usual schedule. The major, however, sounded unaffected by his timing and announced lunch as though nothing was particularly wrong.
"Attention, all soldiers and assigned personnel. You are to report to the cafeteria for your noonday meal. Once again, any and all insubordination will be reported directly to General Aguilar."
He paused, obviously retracing his line of thought.
"Thank you."
The intercom clicked off.
